DONT get a wenzel camp chair with the side table whatever you do :thumbdn:... First one i got ripped the first day of me sitting in it... Sent it back and got a replacement, the 2nd one lasted MAYBE 2 weeks before the nylon material started tearing in spots.... The most i have ever weighed is around 150lbs, and the chair is suppose to be rated for 3 or 400 pounds... I dont jump in it or anything so my "light" use testing confirms they SUCK.... Oh and the side table is a JOKE. It doesnt sit flat and secure enough to put anything you care about on it.

We got a Coleman chair with a soft side cooler the same day as the first Wenzel, its been used way more, and rougher, and has held up perfectly. The wenzel is destined for a landfill shortly.

Do it like the love seat we threw out back in march, it was old, broken legs, stains from the kids etc. But it had served its purpose so it was time to move on to the furniture farm in the sky... But first i took a few large knives and sliced that thing all to hell :D My comp cutter sliced through that fabric like butter... Fun times.

I've got the same Coleman chair. It's great! It's seen about 4 or 5 years of hard use. It's just now starting to break down a little bit. Definitely got my monies worth out of it!

Although...I might have to try out the Wenzel after that glowing review...:D

I got a 31 or 33 (I forget which, don't make me look it up) on the ACT's about a hundred years ago... look where that got me.

:D

I never even took the ACTs, or SAT, or GED or whatever the hell other acronym ya'll want to throw out there, and in the grand scheme of things I have a damn good job without taking them!

Trade, the Helinox is that the chair that Gus brought to Ethan's?

Good morning heads!

I am a very proud man right now. I took Amanda's little brother Noah out turkey hunting this morning. His 2nd time hunting ever. Long story short he shot his first tom today. 18.8 pounds and 3/4 inch sprurs. I will post pictures of the master hunter with some Becker knife in use shots.

Just wanted to share!

Jeremy

Helinox chairs are straight up badass. Got two delivered today and I am absolutely astounded by the materials, construction and how freaking comfortable a two pound chair can be.

Totally agree. We've been using ours for years. A bit pricey, but well worth the money.

Bring 'em to the next Gathering; I'll be happy to give one a thorough workout consisting of, "Can a 6'3" drunk fat dude wearing a goofy bear hat snooze comfortably in it next to a campfire?"

If it fails that kinda serious real-world testing...

That's some extreme use!

Yep, that's the one.

Nice, Dres!!
you've just made a lifelong believer. :D

Let us know if you decide to pluck or skin. My hunting buddy said both were a PITA. Ha!

Works wonderfully, which was a pleasant surprise. Loosened the opening a bit so that it wasn't a feat of strength to remove the knife, although it is still a bit tight. I am hoping that will give me the right level of retention once it gets broken in. I need to strip the blade still, but otherwise I think it is good to go. I am trying to come up with some really easy ways to attach kits and stuff without having to screw in a thousand chicago screws, but size wise, if I was to carry this in a baldric style, I could carry four of those Maxped Volta pouches like I have on my 16 sheath, so there is plenty of real estate for kit storage.

Morning heads!
Successful REI trip yesterday. New boots, a pair of sweet ass Maui Jim sunglasses (using a 20% off coupon), and the wife snagged a set of bamboo eating sticks she's been seeing online and couldn't resist adding those to my tab. We opted to pass on the half-dome 2+ tent, but all that is OK with my wallet in my book. They didn't have the sandals I wanted in the correct size though, so I guess I have an excuse to head back there some other time. Damn.... I hate needing to go to REI, ;)

C-Bear, the Giordano's in Indy is good, but not quite the same. My wife was wondering if it was because the ovens weren't seasoned yet. You walked in and it didn't quite smell like a pizza place. Hard to describe, but generally the quality of the wall of pizza aroma walking into a pizza place is one of our first indications of the quality of pizza.

Nice. One of my missions this weekend is to hash out a carry method for my Trailbum BK10 sheath. The back pocket just isn't the most secure. I've tried knotting belt loops with paracord, but I haven't tried something quite like that yet.

Morning 'Heads! Jeremy, that is a great way to start the day with your soon to be BIL. Congrats!

Now.....when are you gonna get your own gobbler?

Saturated Shadow came up with that awhile back. He has a thread on it that I bumped this morning, should be on the first page.
