My 9 showed up from the West coast. Jonny1280 Jonny1280 Thanks for the Swag Brotha. The soup spoon is awesome. Jonny included some nice stickers, KABAR keychains, tactical spork, and the soup spoon Thanks Again Brotha.
Thanks for the loan my man! I really liked the choiled 9’er. I wish I could have had the time to give it a proper review.
I will say it was my primary shop knife since I’ve had it. I like the choil myself. It’s easy to grab without being dangerous and adds an extra dimension for small work.
It’s like having a 9’er thats as versatile as a 7 or 10.
Thanks again Tanker Man! You’re one of the good ones here and you’re appreciated!

Awe Shucks Jonny your making my head swell up as big as Dubz hands. Thanks Brotha

Well I I'm up and actually dressed. I am having stabbing pain at the incision, but no pain where the sesamoid bones used to be. I have a hard time not getting up and doing something. I have been tinkering with setting up terminal tackle for the Kabar kaster and my Yoyito reel. Just to stay busy . I did find a snow peak spork that has been AWOL for a couple years. I may have to make a new stuff sak for my Yoyito reel

New toy ! I have fished with Cuban yoyo reels and Tenkara for several years though I would try one of these. I had a Bass pro gift card so I ordered the stuff to build a couple tackle kits

I had reserved a 2nd spot on a boat trip in October for myself and a younger coworker. But, he just bought himself a new house, and when I asked him if he was still game on for the trip, he promptly dropped the ball. Well, he needs to get settled into his new digs anyhow.

Par for my course, time to reinstate my 'lone fisherman' status.

Casters are messy to harvest, prep, and use. Never had a use for flat tailed tree murderers, they ain't worth the effort much unless you got a bounty permit for them. Other fur bearing critters I used logic and tactics that worked well enough. But I don't go after cute predator critter fur bears any more due to them not being enough around IMO, and health reasons, and around the old farm stead I keep them around and protect them like a nature faker protecting an "Endangered" pigeon. IE, not letting trappers on my land is about all I can do. They eat them furry tailed tree rats that damage buildings! And besides, not enough of them for decades it seems around here. I could get the few around, but I see no need to. If I used Casters I'd probably wipe them out in one season, and then them furry tailed rats would over run the dang place! I'd never sell Casters in case they find their way to the folk medicine industry. Who knows what they put in that crap, probably literally crap.

Gasoline is about $2 a litre up here. That's about $8 a gallon for folks in the US. Even with the exchange rate, it's still stupid expensive. I suspect there will be significantly fewer road trips for anyone that's actually working for a living up here. Interesting times.

It's crazy. I drove about 7.5 hours each way last week to check out a possible new climbing area. Cost me almost $400.
I’m trying to get back on my training schedule. I’d like to climb the Devils Path in one day this time.( Catskills )
If they get enough rain I think I can do it. I’ll Grayl my water and not have to carry so much water weight in my pack.

Running just under $4/gallon here. Makes that 30 gallon tank painful to fill if I let it get low.

I'd consider riding a bike, but I definitely needy A/C!

Todays time killer was going through and rearranging my EDC bag and FAK. My FAK needed my prescriptions updated new BP meds ( I carry one day of prescription pills) aspirin and ibuprofen restocked and I need to get some single dose packs of Benadryl. It needed major rearranging to get A dose of Narcan in it. New pens and new charge cords for my power bank.

Fisked a few knives tonight.
A couple kitchen Wusthofs, a Siegle, and a BK5 from BeckerWest.
Love getting these knives stupid sharp!

Now for the mouse pad treatment….

Well, finally got the 'rona. Fortunately after classes and grading are done, and now I get out of graduation.
If recovery proceeds on current trajectory, it will only be a 48hr deal, but who knows.
