I will jump in here and say you are more than welcome to join us, but it's doubtful in the extreme that Ethan will be joining us. Bladite, OTOH, will hopefully make an appearance.

. Looking forward to seeing you guys. After checking out your bow last fall, I ended up getting a Mission Riot on closeout from KTP. As I'm sure you know, it's an excellent bow. I've been shooting it at least a few days a week since I picked it up in February. If I can fit it into my wagon, I'll bring it.

I'm getting excited for a weekend in the woods, running water or no. Thanks again for setting this up, trailbum. Should be up mid-afternoon on Friday. Is there floor space in the lodge for an air mattress? Bringing th hammock setup; just haven't had that much experience with it. I'll talk to you soon, anyway.
I'm officially not gonna make the gathering this year. :-(
The reasons are actually good.... my freelance work is starting to take off a bit and I've been burning the candle at both ends lately, doing 30+ hours of freelance work each week, on top of my fulltime day job.

Bladite is the mod hereabouts who is Ethan's no. 1 proponent and, as I understand it, also the one who convinced Uncle E. to get involved in BF way back in the day. OTOH you might know as, ah.....an acronym. Stands for "on the other hand".

I may take you up on it. I'll bring it, anyway. Don't know if I'll have time between now and the Gathering to do your undersheet method, though I have the needed materials. Hopefully it won't be that cold, and I can just make do with a pad under my sleeping bag. A week and a half away.....I better start getting my shit together now....I think there is a lantern and a flashlight rolled up in the tent still from the fall Gathering at trailbums. Perhaps I'll have decent weather this weekend to unpack it and confirm my suspicion.....not that I don't have spare lanterns and flashlights, mind. It would be nice to know where they are, though.

Possible Kevin Estella visit based on my quick online interaction with him. There is a bushcraft thing in CT that same weekend, and I let him know about the Beckerhead Gather and he said he might have to stop by saturday.

Nice convo with trailbum earlier. Now I'm really getting pumped. I think the best thing about this entire subforum is that it doesn't just exist on the internet. Taking a gamble and going to the Fall Northeast Gathering 3 1/2 years ago was the best chance I've taken in a long while...and I wasn't yet a Beckerhead when I went to that first one. Folks, If you can make it to a Gathering, GO! If you're reading this, then you will find no better company than the people in this group - and I have no doubt the same holds true for the other 'Heads at Gatherings I haven't attended....yet. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. And hopefully pulling off another good pork loin.....
