Northwoods 15?

Apparently mineral oil has some negative reaction with the dye used. I just use honing oil or Quick Release oil.

I would assume gun oils have solvents and such in them and are more caustic than mineral oil. Many folks use mineral oil exclusively on their trads. I don't think it's the oil.

Maybe not but I have heard many folks, over the years, using mineral oil on thier knives. Never tried it on mine but have heard of some dyes on some handles not reacting well to it.

Ha they're here! Only 4 days West Coast to Europe! I'm impressed.

Sorry for the bad images but I can barely contain my excitement ... so bad phone pictures have to suffice for now. ;)

Very beautiful knives, a little smaller than I imagined, but that's not a disappointment, just a fact.
I'm not sure yet which I like better, especially as the blue one is a little grayish as well.

Looking forward to dropping one of them in my pocket tomorrow. :)

That's a good looking set of Northwoods. I really like the black version!

Mine came in yesterday. The f&f is outstanding! My pull is about a 6, and after flushing / oiling the pivot, it's smooth as can be. I couldn't get a decent shot of the pile side (or the mark side, for that matter), but the bone is beautiful. It looks a bit more "smokey black" than the pic indicates. Loving this one.

I got my red sawcut today...wasn't pleased with it. It was too bright red for me so it went bye bye. I'm no longer in the Broadway Club....it hurts!!!

Wow, Daniel, congrats on two nice BJs! Like the both of them.
Hey FB, good looking black you got there! Very different.
Sorry to hear this Jake. Everyone I had seen was darker, ain't that the way it goes!

That is a very nice black BJ, Burningcow. Sorry to hear you got rid of yours, Jake, I might have traded you. Anyway, here are my Broadway Jacks. Orange one is my brothers.

Thanks guys, it's what I thought was gonna happen with the red. Oh well! I'm ok with it. I know someone will appreciate it and that's what matters. I'm sure I'll end up with another at some point when I keep looking at your guys' pics of them!

Here's the red that I sold. It was nice and evenly dyed, just on the bright side for me. I liked the Old Red coloring that was on the 77 barlows as it was real dark. This was pretty red all the way throughout and it gets very vibrant in full sun.

I am not sure how Northwoods works production, but I am wondering if any more of this pattern will be produced? Surely this run is not a one off?
