Well, that was in daylight. It looks much more like the KSF photo inside. The bone handled ones also look more washed out. In person the handles have more depth of color.
Most if not all of the ones in red that I've seen were very dark.

Hey Lloyd, very nice grabs! You can fix that weaker snap on your Ivory. Just pour oil in the joints and keep working the blade back and forth till it starts to show some gunk coming out of the back spring. Wipe it off and repeat, it may take quite a few times to start seeing the change but it will come. Don't let that Ivory depress you, you can fix this. If you have to, you might even use one of those smaller eyeglass flathead screwdrivers and in the position open but not all the way at the half stop, run the screwdriver down the back of the spring on both edges, the blackened part, to see if anything comes off that way too! Then rinse with oil again and keep working that blade back and forth. Don't cut yourself tho! Your black one is great looking! Mine came just as yours did, great overall action and transitions.
