Northwoods Madison Barlow

:( I'm waiting for more camel bone to come. Please Bohner, make it happen.

I think I've probably already emailed everyone in this thread who owns a camel bone madison once or twice and no one has answered my WTB post regarding the knife.
...you've emailed everyone, asking if they'll sell you theirs? That's kinda strange.... do you also stop motorists and demand to buy their cars?

Derrick, I'm glad to hear there are plans for more. I really like the newer/second blade shape, right up my alley!

There are no more camel bone ones around here that I know of. I am sure we will run the original madison Barlow again, but it won't be this year.

Listen pal, like Arthur Guinness (or more likely someone paid a lot of money to come up with catchy slogans) said; "good things come to those who wait". I had my signature as a 'searching for' and after about a year, a very kind forum member sent me a PM saying that they had what I wanted to sell me. It happens, just relax. :)

Is there an ETA on these yet? So many good things coming out of GEC - my wallet needs a break!!

These are going to be one blade, drop point. They should start production the week before Christmas, so they will not be a Christmas item this year.

I'm looking forward to these. They don't scream barlow to me. However I love big bolsters and the lines on the knives are great. The production pic on the GEC site shows an osage with real dark looking bolsters before final polish. I think It'd be neat if they are steel, I find the shiny nickel silver bolster nice as well, but patina looks great.

I also thought i saw pics of some mammoth on the GEC production photos but I didn't notice that listed under the listed flavors. Perhaps my eyes were fooled.

I think it was called either a church key or church window Barlow. Saw it in an old book.

I have an one blade elephant ivory that I treasure. I got a jigged bone to use; ivory to fondle. Love this knife! But I like the two blade version more. In two blades, it is a fairly substantial slip joint and my preferred size.

Very, very, very excited about these... Anyone with one of the first run drop point single blades able to give a pull rating? (I realize there could be a difference between runs, just trying to get an idea) Thank you!
