One question. I know it's slim, but at that size is it a tad heavy?
The one in my pocket is 3.3 oz.

I like the one in the picture that appears to be mammoth. I'd like to buy that one.
I seem to have a desire to buy traditional knives with mammoth ivory scales lately.
K.K.
Is this related because of the blade rub mentioned earlier in the thread, or Northwoods in general? David Shirley no longer runs the Northwoods brand, and I don't think any issues with him should reflect on how it's run by Derrick now, unless of course you're saying you feel it's the same thing.
On his website, Derrick says straight out that there is some small blade rub on these because they are so thin. He's not trying to hide anything, he's letting people know before they order so if that's something they have a problem with, they won't order.
Raymond, I think you would find Northwoods a completely different animal now.
Nice, Mine should be here tomorrow. Here is the picture I stole from KSF. Steven

A week ago I ordered a GEC from Derrick and checked the tracking and saw it went to the Portland distribution hub, cool a day and I will have it (live outside of Seattle). Next day no delivery, so I check the tracking and it is in Indiana. Was really worried that it was never to be seen, a few days later when I checked the tracking again it had hit Seattle. I guess the frequent travel miles were too good to pass up. In the end it arrived and all is well. StevenMine was supposedly delivered by USPS yesterday but there was nothing on my porch. I have a sneaking suspicion that I ran head-on into my Post Office's new trick of scanning any left-over packages at the Post Office as delivered, so as to stop the time clock on them. And then it gets delivered in a day or three. Sure scares me whenever it happens though (2 times so far), but I haven't completely lost a package yet.
Here is my new Presidential. Just arrived about an hour ago.
My initial impressions -
It is really light.
This particular knife has no blade rub.
I thought that the pocket sheath that came with it was too large.
I substituted it with a small pocket sheath that I had and I would call it perfect!
The mammoth ivory on this one is beautiful!
Can't wait to put it through its paces.
