Not a One knife thread…but something like that

Initially I thought I would say my Shirogorov Neon Zero, but realistically, if I lost that knife I don't think I would spend that much money on a knife a second time. For me it would have to be my small Sebenza 21 w/ Insingo blade.
This was my first "luxury" knife, but the ease of carry, ease of disassembly, and ease of sharpening makes this the knife that I throw in my pocket over and over. Even though it was $250 new back when I bought it, I'd place an order immediately for a new one. Well a 31, anyway.

Easily, for me, this would be the ESEE Izula, and this is the reason that I have 5 of them. This is not my favorite knife. This not my best knife. This knife holds no sentimental value, while many others do. I don’t think this is the best knife I own. It’s not really great at anything. But, it’s a fixed blade with no moving parts to break (my preference), easily accessible for purchase in case a replacement is needed, not expensive (maybe more expensive than it should be though), easily maintained, plenty durable, easily sharpened without any special equipment, small enough to carry unnoticed in the pocket yet big enough to do serious work, cuts way above its size, fits my hand perfectly, and it’s more a Jack of all trades kind of knife. I have nicer, I have more expensive, I have more sentimental, but if I can only have one to carry on a daily basis this would be it.

If I could only keep one it would either be one of my Case or Buck stockmans, I feel that I would enjoy using them forever for pretty much everything. As far as a modern knife it would probably be my Benchmade Bugout, light, good size, comfortable, good edge retention, I would definitely feel comfortable using that for the long term if I had to, but I am a traditional guy at heart

No question here, the BK14 is the knife that I already have multiples of, as it is definitely my most used and my Every. Day. Carry.

This one is the black dlc'd version that I love dearly:) It has cut many things: Food, Cardboard, Paper, Wood, Carpet, Drywall, Brush and so on...
Excellent choice, as far as I’m concerned. Even though my choice for one knife was the Izula, I actually prefer the BK14. The only reason I chose the Izula is because the Izula is smaller and easier for me to carry in the pocket.

Excluding a SAK, if I were choosing a folder, I agree 100% with the stockman. You get three different, useful, and extremely versatile blades in one knife. In my opinion it’s the best traditional knife pattern there is.

What would I replace if I lost it? Schrade old timer 34OT USA. Buck 110. Buck 192 vanguard. Probably in that order. Maybe the 110 being first. For me, it’s the most useful, though I enjoy whittling with the 34OT, and the 192 is my favorite, though I’d like a model with better steel to accompany my standard 420HC version. The 192 is the way a knife should look.

Nice selections guys, and keep in mind, this isn't a "YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE KNIFE" question thread, just which knife that you like so much that would you replace if lost, some may not be able to replace them, which certainly would be a shame :(

My SAK that I mentioned earlier? my main one is the Executive, had it about the longest of any knife, next to that is the Pioneer X and heavy duty Swiss Tool, the OLD model, still going strong and I use that about every day, mainly for the pliers.

But I think of the SAK's more as tools than knives, but, I'd certainly replace that Executive immediately if it ever wandered away ;)

That'd be my MT5..

I must say though, i'm new to SAKs, but I don't think I'll ever be without a SAK again, tool or not, it's a proper knife that serves my needs, & they kinda changed the way I think/feel about knives. IMO

About that executive, I bought it some time ago, & then bought another 74mm the money clip without the serrated blade, well I gotta say I think I prefer the executive, I like having that different blade.

I’m new to the nicer single blade knives, but I’ve had SAKs and similar multifunction knives going back to my Cub Scout days. Good lord, we’re talking about 1966 here. The Cub Scout and Boy Scout knives are long lost, but my next longest friend is my SAK Spartan, which I’ve had now for about 40 years. Even though it’s been mostly replaced by newer stuff in recent years, it’s been through hell and back with me. So if I ever lost it, I would definitely be replacing it right away.
