Wife was just tellin' me the stimulus check will be in Monday. Hmmm...

I wish they could have gotten it to $2,000. I volunteered at a food pantry yesterday, a lot of people are really hurting right now.

I waited all year to wear these surplus, wool pants I found at Varusteleka. Something must have shrunk these since last we met; cursed gravitational anomaly!!
It could have been the bacon.

Uh, I don't recall what the metrics were. If I had to guess, I'ld say 32ish in the waist and 34 length.

They were tight to begin with. The surplus market is fickle enough without the wrong measuring system thrown in. >< So, I went back and ordered a pair of new, commercially made trousers in my size, hopefully.

Anyone here have and use a Hudson Bay tobacco tin? Have always wanted one, but am afraid it'll just be yet another purchase of something I don't really need.

The cheapest I can find them is $25ish. Seems like a lot for a tin that's no thicker than an Altoids tine.

I know lots of y'all live near or like to go to the Pigeon Forge area..

I'm turning 21 in February and going there the following week with a few of my friends to celebrate, anyone have suggestions for some must see/do/eat/drink things? It's gonna be my first time there.

bud's guns is across the street from SMKW and next door to the lodge/coleman outlet up in Sevierville -- which isn't very far from there.
some good trails and parks in the pigeon forge/gatlinburg area, too.

we still have most of our new year's snow, but it's supposed to be 40 today and close to 50 tomorrow so it won't last.

OTOH, last night's freezing fog has left all the trees looking magical!

All stuck to the trees here as well. I wish I could go out and enjoy it.
