Nuclear Payload! Hidden Treasure! Buried Here!

If all goes well. .. there should be one there before the end of October. . . .

BTW, my last clue got cracked pretty quick. . . I'd better not be so reckless next time.

Hey baby, here we are in need of another clue. My prediction is that there'll never be one found. Raden, are you anywhere near the Tennessee River? If not, you may have to take a little trip. Starting tonight there will be plenty of clues. ..

Goodbye,

Jerry

P.S. There are 8 clues contained in this post that will not only lead you to the state where the pic was taken but to the area.

Geeeshh! Do I have to spell it out?

If you can supply me with all 8 of the hidden clues. . ALL of them. . . .I will confirm your greatness and publicly acknowledge that you are up to the challenge.

I'll be taking a nap in the meantime,   ;)

Now you're talking! Got a 12-pack of Pabst (couldn't find any CBL), some cheap cigars and a boat loaded. Let the fun begin...but wait a minute. I've paddled various sections/forks of the Tennessee River in 3 different states. Hmmmm...you Sir are a tease of the highest caliber, my compliments :D
Stay Safe,

Yeah, but he's given clues that might have something to do with a town, and possibly about geography, and an old local product.
Or maybe I'm way off base...
Hey Jerry, how far off the interstate that you came down were you?

Jerry -- Here are my guesses to the hidden clues:

"before the end of October" - John P. Cable's 19th-century Working Corn Mill is open mid-April through October
"cracked" - Great Smokies Fault
"I'd better not be so reckless next time" - the area was stripped bare of trees in the early 1900's
"Hey Baby," - the Wonderland Hotel was the beginning of Sevier county's tourism industry
"there'll never be one found" - The Sinks - where folklore has it that a derailed logging train was lost
"near the Tennessee River" - Little River - East Fork
"little trip" - Elkmont Nature Trail - a short excursion - could this be the place?
"there will be plenty of clues" - information leaflets are available at the trailhead

all information was found at www.allthesmokies.com

Jerry just had to go and make this easy.... his name is involved too.

Here we go:

Tennessee River
Dolce Casa- Sugar Tree
a boatload
digging dirt that should not be- Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge
Your name.... an area on the river with your name all over it.:D

I thought "casa" was "house"... "Sugar house?" "Sweet house"? I dunno if any of it makes sense out of context.

In the Brotherhood of Busse, may I suggest that no one struggle with a myriad of Jerry's enigmatic clues alone. So far there's a great collective effort going.

Sweet house could have something to do with a candy store, etc. Or I ran a search on the untranslated words, and there are Bed and Breakfast in Italy using that name...

Thus far, ALL clues point to a single word. . . . That word is, in turn, your next clue, which will narrow your search even more. . . .

Once you get this, I will give you more payload clues that will focus your search down even further. . . . Of course I'll do that right after I cash my Social Security Check.. . . That should be in about 30 years. . . .

How sad to have so many BLATANT clues under your noses. . . . and not be able to see them! hmmmmmm. .. . have a couple of beers and get back with me. . . .

Oh, and it's south of Ohio. . . that eliminates Michigan. . . for now!

Nuke on!

Jerry

LOL, I'll just say now, I don't have any clue where the knife is buried. It sure is fun to try and figure it out though ;):D:D:D

Oh, and for now, I can only respond to guesses that are posted on the forums. . . .I'm getting flooded with too many "guess" emails (more than 30 so far). . . Once we get closer to the actual location, I'll consider answering your queries privately. . . but for now. . . I suggest that you all work together to solve the obvious.

Remember. . . you can't just guess the answer. . . you have to solve the problem. . . .it's like math class. . . .you might be able to guess the right answer, but if you haven't gotten to it by connecting ALL of the clues. . . I can't acknowledge it as correct.

Now you see why the other blades have remained "lost" for so many years, , ,(12-20 years).

Jerry said to work together on this. I was going to be greedy and keep this info to myself in case I could figure it out. Heck, I was even thinking about driving there tonight. But, here's what I've come up with and why....Off of the Natchez Trace Parkway in Northwestern Alabama.

The eight clues in Jerry's post were:

Never Be One
Tennessee River
Starting Tonight
Take A Little Trip
Reckless
Hey Baby
Goodbye
Here We Are

All of these are song titles by the group Alabama.

Next, the clue "Dolce Casa" also points to Alabama. It is a bed and breakfast that operates out of Italy, but it also has an affiliate off of the Natchez Trace Parkway. This would narrow down the search considerably because the parkway only travels through a small corner of northern Alabama.

I hate to give away what I think I've come up with, but in the spirit of the contest and what Jerry said about working together, that's what I have.

Let me know your thoughts.

Whoa!!!! Am I on Social Security already???? Nice work G-Man. . . . .   Your email didn't identify the words as song titles, it just listed them. . . I was highly confused. . . .

That's why I said "So close. . . and yet so far. . . "

Dolce Casa. . . . is supposed to point to the same word as the other clues. . . . not where you have it pointing. . .

Great Job!!!!!

You're freakin' me out!

I think G-man is on the right track.

The 1st clue Dolce Casa is Italian for Sweet Home
In other words Sweet Home Alabama "another alabama song"

The other clue points to the Tennessee River and there is a town Florence "also italian" right on the Tennessee river. In Alabama

Is this close?

Raden and G-Man. . . Makin' it happen. . . .

Nuke on boys!

Now go back and read what I have already written very closely. . . it will pay off in the future. . ..

Sorry for the confusion. I thought you understood that I knew that since my original posting about these clues also included 10 song titles from Alabama throughout my diatribe. Didn't you see that man? I was speakin code to ya!

My bad!!

So, we're cookin' with gas now, eh? We're crackin the code boys!!
