Nutnfancy makes video supporting fake Chinese XM18

Maybe he plans to have it painted so some TNP'er dude can give him $400 for it.
edit to add- well the last time he did that at least it wasn't a knockoff.

I'm not going to watch the vid, as I never could get through one when it wasn't a knockoff.
 
Also, the name CTS XM18 copies both Hinderer's IP as well as Carpenter's, sine they obviously got that from the CTS XHP steel used.

How are you equating murder with copying IP? Don't ever say I'm parroting him. The political and moral issue is NOT married to the quality of manufacture. If it were then the quality would depend on how original the design is. The political issue is that China allows knock-offs on a grand scale to undermine the American trade and to keep trade deficit in their favor. Other countries Rick could sue and have production stopped, not in China.

And Nutn specifically says in this video that he feels people will buy a couple of these knockoffs after viewing it. He is actively and knowingly supporting this activity by international competitors.

Yep. I saw him make the comment "You always vote with your wallet.". Yes you do Nutn, which means you just voted for thieves.

He's never done anything like this before. Not even remotely. He's been criticized for many things. No doubt and no argument there. But blatantly endorsing theft along with trying to justify doing so?? . . . No. He's never been accused of that before.

I'm saying I care more about Hinderer's contributions to the knife industry than his, and that I support the laws Rick operates under and not the theft Nutn advocates. Obviously you feel differently.
 
I am not too surprised. This guy is the reason I've stopped trying to find knife reviews on YouTube and instead rely almost exclusively on this forum. His over-the-top ignorance, massive ego, and armchair commando approach to tactical knives would be funny if so many people didn't subscribe to his uninformed world view.
 
I wouldn't be suprised if nuntfancy started spray-painting those counterfeits and sell them as limited editions at a 500% markup to his clueless followers.
