How are you equating murder with copying IP? Don't ever say I'm parroting him. The political and moral issue is NOT married to the quality of manufacture. If it were then the quality would depend on how original the design is. The political issue is that China allows knock-offs on a grand scale to undermine the American trade and to keep trade deficit in their favor. Other countries Rick could sue and have production stopped, not in China.^That sounds like parroting of the brainless nonsense he says. You can't just tack on some justification or announce that supporting IP theft has nothing to do with the product itself and magically it's true. It's not. Some issues aren't separate, but married to one another. There really isn't much political about it, just moral. It's supporting blatant theft, and then whitewashing it with nonsense like "this is just about the gear". Yes, gear made from stolen ideas and sold as the originals that they're stolen from.
One wouldn't try to justify some random homicide by saying "Well, he was a real jerk, and a lot of people are better off now." It doesn't work that way just because you want it to. Some things are connected, no matter how stupidly they're wished otherwise.
And Nutn specifically says in this video that he feels people will buy a couple of these knockoffs after viewing it. He is actively and knowingly supporting this activity by international competitors. The political issue is that China allows knock-offs on a grand scale to undermine the American trade and to keep trade deficit in their favor. That sucks, I just lost the last shred of respect for him

He's a giant tool, why would this surprise anyone?
And of course... all the comments that don't support him he deletes.
I'm saying I care more about Hinderer's contributions to the knife industry than his, and that I support the laws Rick operates under and not the theft Nutn advocates. Obviously you feel differently. So your saying if we few consumers here who love Hinderer knives ignore the knock offs they'll stop making them?
