Nutnfancy video worth watching

I think most of his haters have underlying envy.

Or ears.......they might just be able to hear him?

Of course anyone who can add grip tape and jimping to their fanny pack is all right in my book. I've always said that there was a real lack of jimping.

Once, I jimped my jimping, added some more jimping, and some grip tape to the jimped jimp!

Ayy dog, we heard you liked jimping so we jimped your jimping so you can grip while you grip!

Congrats, you and every other person on the internet have noticed the same things about the guy. :jerkit:
What does his fanny pack have to do with anything other than you pointing and going "LOL LOOK AT THE NERD!" Which isn't exactly an original position

Whelp, he adds grip tape to his items, so I guess that means I don't wanna hear Gayle Bradley talk about his new Bowie at SHOT Show...?

Fanny packs are not cool, and neither is jimping or grip tape. Got it.
Nutnfancy likes jimping, and grip tape, and fanny packs, thus, he is not cool because those things are not cool. And, he's full of himself, which is also not cool.

Glad we've established that the man is not cool. In fact, I think it's safe to say Nutnfancy is a nerd.
And since I've sworn to only watch YouTube videos uploaded by cool dudes, I will never watch a Nutnfancy video, because, as proved above, he is not cool.

I'm cool because I disassociate myself from him and look down on him with contempt. That establishes me as cool. Cool people don't associate with nerds, am I right?!?!!

I'll refrain my opinions on NF and keep it simple...just don't watch the videos if you don't like them. That's what I do. Misinformation, no matter the channel, is really frustrating; I avoid most YT "experts" for that reason.

That said, great crew to interview. Gayle Bradley is one of the nicest people I've ever met, and not just in our hobby. I love it when I run into him around Dallas. A true classic gentleman.

Its simple...if you dont like him or his videos, dont watch them. Some people like them and find them helpful, i know i did when i first started getting into knives. Theres really no point in bad mouthing the guy. He has alot of viewers and knife makers obviously listen to him and take the time to talk to him and give hour long interviews. So obviously hes doing somthing right.

As we say in amateur radio, there's too much noise for communication. If you find NF knowledgeable, then good for you, some people are irritated by his ego and express their annoyance with him. That's as much their right to express their opinion as you do yours.

That he has a lot of viewers doesn't make his ego more palatable to the more serious, knowledgeable, and I daresay, mature audience. When somebody is starting out with knives(especially those looking for tactical knives), NF might be a good resource. Most of his audience are probably people who don't have the time or inclination to seek information from the forums and thus take his opinion as gospel.

Yes, and he sold these for around $100 too. :D

:) Well, to that I might add if you are reading this or any other comment in this thread you are in a KNIFE FORUM and by definition some kind of nerd. At least were I live :)

Concerning Nut'n I can just say that I enjoy his reviews from time to time. Same for Jim Skelton by the way, despite that both gentlemen annoys me every now and then. But watching them is optional I guess? But the word "Tactical" is just amusing. A cute little term that as no implication here. We use knifes, they are tools - not weapons in my eyes. It must be cultural thing.

No, it's a mall ninja thing. The people who really need edged weapons don't need to go to youtube to find out which will work for them. ;)

Excellent point! :D

I am sorry but I have to take issue here. This forum allows...or is supposed to allow folks who are looking for guidance. What I am witnessing in this thread is nothing short of just pure bias against an individual.

Are you saying that we can't have our opinions against any personality that puts himself in front of the public eye? Is there anybody here who is looking for guidance who has been turned away? Is saying that NF is an annoying egotist not guidance?

And You know what "edged weapon" I need? First off I dont need a weapon. I need a knife. Second, I went to Youtube when I first started carrying folders and It was a wealth of info. It brought Me here and guided me.

I am no mall ninja. So You Sir, are wrong.

You sir are wrong in your understanding of my statement. What I said was people who need edged weapons(the real operators) don't need youtube to tell them what they need.

Most of the people who need youtube to tell them about knives are the people who are just starting out with knives, as you have done.

...

This is the part of Trollbane's statement that I responded to. I agreed with him that Tactical is an amusing marketing term and that we, me and him at least, use knives as tools.

When I said it's a mall ninja thing, I was specifically referring to the people who are into the "tactical" hype but have no real need for these "weapons".

So in closing, you're either a mall ninja or not, I don't care, but I wasn't referring to you.

If he has something I'm interested in, I turn the volume off and watch him handle the knife. He does display the knife from every angle in high definition. Something to be said for that at least.

That's what I do.
I've already decided what to buy and it's based on my criteria ( not his).
I look at the camera shots with the sound off and fast forward to pictures I want to see.
