Thanks Rick, I'm very pleased with it. The micarta looks almost 3D, matches the rustic style blade well and should be tough as nails. The clip blade seems to be a slightly different shape (more belly ???) than other GEC's I've seen, I like it. Northwoods and GEC together hit a Grand Slam with this one!

Light sanding with 1200 then 2000 grit paper, just to even things out a little.

See at the top bolster where the ivory meets. It is a little uneven and a little bit of a gap? Mine is like that at the bottom. Is this normal?

I wouldn't be concerned my friend . With natural covers especially mammoth bark ivory and other natural covers sometimes they won't be flush and not even in areas . It gives each cover its own uniqueness and part of the beauty. Just enjoy your new Lincoln Jack and its natural beauty and originality
If you want to trade it for a nice and even Burlap Micarta let me know

I would agree with TheFactor . Just part of the game when using natural materials. Gives each knife their own unique character.

Enjoying my first mammoth score. Fit and finish is fantastic. Open and closed are perfectly flush. Lazier on the close than my TC Barlow, but I don't really mind.
