Odd tang stamp on BG-42 Custom???

Right!!! No etchings!!! No painted graphics...no coatings...just plain raw steel...Like Hoyt and God intended!!!... :D

  I agree also!!!!!

It took me some time to get that darned Cabelas AG logo off my 110's...
That stuff is tough! Not tougher than Xylol and 10 minutes of elbow grease though :D

That stuff is tough!

I imagine so...I plan on bead blasting that Bass Pro to get the coating off...I walnut-shell blasted a 426 to get the coating off that one...came out nice...but walnut shells take too long...training the squirrels to throw them is the hard part!... :D

LMAO!!! Poor squirrels!
I will leave the coating on mine for rust prevention as I plan on using them both. Plus it makes 'em really shiny :D

"Poor squirrels" is right! I have a Weimaraner and a Doberman...The Weim has a nice soft mouth...she catches them and parades around the yard with them squirming around in her mouth...when she finally spits them out on the porch, the Dobe grabs them and WHAP! - one shake of his head; they're dead meat!!! :(

  ...uhhhh...John...I don't drink, but I do carry a really BIG broom and scooper to sweep in those 110's as they hit the ground...heh heh heh...:p :p :p

I have 2 damascus custom shop 110's and they are both stamped 110x,no other markings whatsoever, the rest all have designers choice on the other side of the tang, maybe they found some old damascus to use as custom shop blades?

Hey Buck guys,Vince here,I did not comment on this knife in the 4 sale forum, nor, did I red all the posts in this thread.
I love Buck knives, but also,a lot of other knives ,too. I scored this for a buddy, sight unseen, and believe it or not,he passed on it! I re-listed it,and, tacked on $11 for paypal &shipping,so,I guess,I scored a good one originally.
I am not a true collector,I like to carry the knives I accumulate, and would never carry this,so,off she went. Now,I do have a wally world 112,100 year comm./w/tin,given as a gift to me,by my wife, that I would not part with.
Happy New Year to all of you.
Tom,enjoy the knife!
Vince
