Of all the assisted opening folders you have, which one has the best "thwack" when

Kershaw Mini-Cyclone and Needs Work: both make their presence known when opened.

If I recall correctly, it sounds the same as the Mini-Cyclone which has a stop pin near the spine. I always wondered which type of stop pin was better.

My ZT0300 makes my whole arm move when it snaps open. My CRKT Folding Hissatsu does so also but in a different way. The opening speed is much faster on the Hissatsu and makes my whole are move like my ZT but the ZT does it more with a slower opening speed. A very cool effect!

Honorable mention goes to my Kershaw Blur CB - quick and powerful opening.

Of my A/O Benchmades:

580
790
672

With the Valox scales, the 580 is the top of the list...:D

My ZT's have a great thwack but THE best thwack out of any folder is a Strider. The sound of that titanium lock resonates the G10 is music to my ears. The sound is so individual much like "chu....chuck" from a 12gage pump shotgun.:D

i thought my blur opened with a snap until i got my shallot. really snappy

I owned a ZT 0350 at one point that had the nicest thwack of any knife I've owned or handled. Then I got a DDR HTM Gunhammer that is non-assisted...and it blows the 0350 out of the water in terms of audible bliss.

CRKT Hissatsu folder, opens with with enough force and speed to viod sebenza warranties in a 20 mile radius :p
+2 ! After the first time opening it, it got a little loose from my hand. I was always a bit cautious opening it afterward. It really surprises those who I have let handle it. By far the most "kick" out of a knife I've felt.

Have a handful of assisted kershaws, some CRKTs and a couple SOGs,
The most satisfying "thwack" upon opening is my ZT350.
A lot of momentum behind that blade.:D

Others have mentioned a CRKT Hissatu; I just got a CRKT (tiny tighe) with that type of spring system ("outburst"), and holy cow, that thing is fast - by far the fastest opening knife I've ever handled.
I like the feel and sound of the ZT better though.
