Seriously guys, I appreciate the support! It'd still be funny to unleash Dubz in the murder harness.

You rang? :D

I live right on a busy street, in full view of about a dozen houses and a 4 lane road. One night my roommates pitbull starts going bananas, he ran outside with his 1911 to find his door wide open. Nothing missing, but the kid who was in it is lucky he got out in time and lucky the dog didn't come out too(he is really fast). My roommate now locks his doors.

I made some micarta today. Its OD canvas over orange. It turned out pretty good, I'm going to make some scales out of it next week.

Ok guys I have a question. What hiking/camping packs do you Boys recommend? Have seen a few on here but thought I would ask for your 2 cents. thanks

I literally have a couple of dozen packs. No kidding. I put a molle belt on a medium alice (regular alice straps, but added a sternum strap) and it's the best carry I have. I know. Apparently I have the weird body size that it just fits, but it smokes my Ospreys, Gregorys, Keltys, old Danas..etc. Crazy isn't it? I absoluely love that thing for rough use and bushwhacking.

I wish my large ALICE were as comfortable.

You're a little bigger than I am Dubz....

I understand, but I read all the time that the medium is more comfortable than the large. The large tends to sit too far away from your back. I thought about getting a medium. I bought my wife and step son a medium. I actually thought about getting a Kelty Falcon 4000. A place has them for $110 shipped, but supposedly the place is a bit shady. Kinda hit and miss.

This is the second post ive read from you that mentions your pitbulls. I want to see these beasts. Mine wags her tail at any stranger even in her yard!

You are right about the large alice. Mine just about pulls me backwards. One thing to try is some straps running laterally around the pack and frame to pull the load in a little closer to your body.

That's a good idea. I actually have some straps too. Yeah, it does tend to pull you backwards.

Mine are very friendly and total attention sluts, but the older male is pretty territorial round the house. He also is very tuned to our responses to other people.
Older male(oscar) on the left, year old female(shuna) on the right

They really are great dogs :)

Im lookin for a new pack too. I had a Med ALICE and liked it ok, but didnt fit the best in the world. Im too damn big/tall for most packs. I really really like the Maxpedition Condor II but have heard its for short people. I may order it anyways and try it...dont like it I'll return it or sell it.
