What are your guy’s thoughts on this? I am thinking of getting it to leave in my truck as kind of a BOB bag type thing. But mostly to always have some of the stuff I usually forget to bring with me. I’m not looking to spend a lot on a bag and I want something sturdy. I’m not going to be hiking around with it. Mostly it will just ride around with me and do a little car camping. It seems like a decent deal but I really don’t know jack squat about packs. If I decide I like the idea of having a pack I will eventually upgrade.

Like I said the main criteria sturdy, cheep, and large enough.

What do you all think?

Reminds me of an Alice pack..............I think that would be a much better choice for that price and size range. The one you posted might be fine but the Alice is a proven design.

I got a couple pretty sweet things today!!


I got a BK5 from Bladite from the pass around thread, and I got a patch. I can't really say what it says but it goes a little something like this; Hey **** Face, and it looks like a North Face emblem. :D

Now I've got to get to work making some sheaths for a BK5 or two or three or........ :D

Thanks man ill have to look into that, I was under the impression that an alice pack was larger. I was basically looking for something the size of a backpack but more sturdy.
 
Alice packs come in a few diff sizes. A med one looks to be about the same size as that. I got a used one with frame for my son to use for boyscouts for around 35 shipped.

Ok, very nice I will have to do a little more research then. Glad I asked when I stumbled across it. I hate making an impulsive buy and then regretting it after, thanks again man.
 
If your just going to carry it in the vehicle or occasional pack use get an Alice with out the frame. Just make sure it has shoulder straps. The straps will attach to the frame or the pack, so sometimes the packs are sold with out straps.
 
which reminds me, there are only two busses i ever wanted... the nessmuk, and the falcata/khukri thing. i'm just not willing to pay their prices ;)

i have these asshole kids as neighbors though. they're like stupid ferrets on ritalin. they'll destroy it within minutes of me going inside. pictures would be necessary ;)
