A lot of people seem to favor the guyot bottles over kleen kanteens, any particular reason?
 
wide mouth -- which Kleen Kanteen came out with this past year, too - it's just not in wide use yet.
 
I have a ton of different stainless bottles, some $5, some higher. I like my Guyot tapered, but the lid still hasn't worked smoothly. Klean Kanteen has excellent customer service. Their insulated bottles are great too.
 
Ok thanks. I'd looked for a large size Guyot a while back, but there were none to be found at the time. Got a wide mouth Kleen Kanteen instead and have been happy with it.

I do still like how the Guyot cap has the shock cord or whatever that is securing it.
 
good to know - I was looking at the KK wides before X-mas due to the relative "hard -to-findness" of the guyot.

Yes. Though there was some confusion at first, the Brita promotionals Derek linked are the same as the Standard straight-side guyots. 8"x3.5" and holds 38 oz.

Yeah I like mine quite a bit. This guy modded one using high heat paint to boil water with too http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=57418

Just make sure you don't drop it out of a pickup onto the street, full of water, the first day you use it... might leave a dent.

Not that I would know... :rolleyes:
