obviously he had been watching the obits for widows to rob -- wonder how many others he did this to before he ran into the wrong widow.
 
so, hammock camping?
out of the blue, I got blindsided with a TrekLight hammock for Christmas from a friend I only see every 3 or 4 years -- any tips/suggestions? Thinking about trying it out next weekend (holiday weekend, so I can thaw out & do laundry on Monday)

Good score Vik! I have a hammock I've only used a couple times, but I'm a believer.

I'd been looking since the ESEE & Becker campouts but hadn't settled on anything.
I was actually shopping for something with built in skeeter netting, but free trumps that and I can make my own netting later.
The Trek Light is rated to 400 pounds -- this surprised me for as small and light as it packs down.

I was gonna get/need something that held some weight. I'm not even close to 400, but 280 isn't exactly light.
 
Just woke the ol lady up by shaking the bed laughing, I swear that's what I was doing. I'm watching Planet Earth:Great Plains. Great series, but damn, they started talking about "wild ass".
 
you have a tv in the bedroom? heathen :)
