But, I can put a heck of an edge on it with just a stone.

Yer golden then man. It's just gotta cut, People debate different levels of sharpness. Personally I like my knives to push cut paper without having to saw back and forth. When I can get it to that point I call it good.

Not a Becker, but I won a contest back in July and the prize was this knife (it came today). It is my first real scandi knife... I will give it a workout, and see how she takes it. Serial #001...

that's a beast. With that scandi bevel on a thick piece of steel it oughta split wood like crazy (you might need to whack it good and hard tho).

Somebody remind me what the policy on profanity is, 'cause I think I have a BK-7 waiting for me at home and profanity is the only way I know how to express particularly deep feelings. Such as those of obscene excitement.
