Does anyone have any experience with Samick recurve bows? I'm probably gonna buy one friday, I heard good things about them. Supposed to be good beginner's bows. What draw weight would you recommend? It's not my first bow, I have an old 25-30 lbs takedown longbow that my father gave me for my birthday at some point. I'm not super muscular, but no weakling either (6ft 165lbs), I'd like to have a bow that doesn't get too "easy" for me after a short time. It should be a bit hard at first.
Thanks guys!

Hey Bladite, how badly did your area get hit?
I cut about 3x this much on Saturday in Hartford. This is what would safely fit in the truck for a 65mi ride home...
Did the same last Monday too. About 5x this came down, not including the skinny bits not worthy of a chainsaw. Those are LIMBS in the picture, not whole trees. The smallest oak is about 4' across the trunk at chest height and prolly 60' high.

I just realized that tradewater is the pimp puppetmaster pulling all the strings in Barlow. Wayne Whittaker is just a figurehead.
Drawing bows is all about muscle memory. I've seen guys half my size pull strings I couldn't even move. kahn was right 45#-55# is good but I like to err on the side of less, lest you break your arrows. Hunting turkeys, pheasants, etc. is fun because you can use the feathers to learn to make your own arrows. Pretty much use the entire animal for something. Leave nothing to waste.
Edit: if your having troubles pm me and I'll show you a simple push up to build memory for stuff like that.
