Got an izula 2 today. I like it better than the original definitely. I also like attaching the sheath to the webbing on my packs straps for quick tactical deployment. One step closer to assuming flexxx's identity....

wow. i was over on that famous auction side looking at the Becker goodness...

seems like someone must've just started a new knife store or something, and using software to post their wares.

cuz, there a HUGE set of new listing, all the same looking, esp on tactools, and man, it's almost like "noise" because it makes it hard to find the vintage stuff. hah.

good entrepreneurial spirit there... going to have to find a way to filter that out though :>

just don't post them on the internets, or trust the wrong people (like at knifestores). the Japanese want their "important" swords back. the us gubmint indulges this. bounties are paid for information. enough to have apparently made it more than tempting to have snitches.

If we're being honest, I thought those were rabbit-ear antennas.
I couldn't pick up anything in my mug though. Tried for about three hours to get the local PBS station.
 
I swear I saw Dick Proenneke for a few seconds though.
I quit trying after that. They only break out the Dick Proenneke when it's pledge season.

I have one of the DVD's, Alone in the Wilderness, I think it is.
 
Dick Proenneke kicked ass and took names. He puts Les Stroud and Bear Grylls in the wannabe category.
 
I first saw Alone in the Wilderness a few years ago, on a fund raiser for a PBS station. I was thinking about it last year or so, and found it on ePrey.
 
All of the full-length Proenneke videos are on Vimeo. If y'all haven't seen any of them, you're in for a treat. :thumbup:

I would ship it out for your john Hancock, but with the way the post office is going, by the time it got back from the PNW there would be new stuff for me to buy and I'd have to send that back again....never ending...
