Man, the drought has been bad around here. One of the worst in history for this area. July was officially the hottest month on record too. Ever. Climatologists are saying this is the new "norm". We had some big plans for the summer so hopefully fall will be better.

Just spent three hours getting my hot water heater drained, cleaned out, and elements changed. I've done it before so I knew about the sediment that builds up in the bottom. I used a piece of half inch copper pipe flattened at the end and bent at the end to drag all the sediment out the hole for the bottom element. The weird thing was that there was a clear gelatin like substance in it to........not sure what the heck that was, but I've never seen it before. On a good note, it is done and should be good to go for a few more years. The sticker on it says was installed ten years ago. Anyone know how long they usually last?

Nope, hasn't rained since last night, but it is windy as heck. Looks like theres some rain coming down out of Canada that might get us though.
I guess I forgot to hit the quote button but I was talki g about the mosinsstealing some pics:
so psyched. found a SUPER clean M44 to go with my M39 and 1891/30 AND they have an M38 also quite nice i'm dithering over. SWWWEEEEEEEET.

there's a lot of variation in the mosin line... the original shoot just fine, and the almost modern improvement on the M39 are *amazing*...

The wife and I took the little princess to her first Mariners game a few weeks ago.
Had a great time.
She was super excited to meet the Mariners Moose, but once we got close to take a picture, she hung on tight to me like super glue.

So ive been at the lake now for four days, i wake up this morning to the smell of fire. Get on my phone to check conditions and find out there are major wild fires happening in Creek County !!!! 40 homes have been destroyed ILIVE IN CREEK COUNTY !!!!!!! Wifes trying to get a hold of neighbors to see how close it is in our area, i live in the sticks and my house will go up like kindling.... Im freaking out...
