Safeway apple fritters are amazing. I've had better fritters in my life but they were at specialty doughnut shops and cost something like two or three bucks and were only a little better than safeway.
 
Had some fun cleaning up some old knives I made way back when I was first getting started. I made a hawksbill back in January 2012, and it didn't really turn out quite like I'd envisioned it. It's this one:

So the other day, I picked that back up, and thought to myself, "Self, you've come a long ways in your knifemaking. Maybe you can make that one not suck as much." So then I did some regrinding and rehandling and reprofiling, and ended up with this:



What do you think?

Also, side note, I wonder what a Becker-designed karambit/hawksbill would be like. Also a Becker Persian.

The grind looks great! What's the handle material? The tang and pins look a little proud from here.

James, the material is natural G10. And yeah, they are a little proud. I'm still polishing them down a bit.

Next time, try bringing the pins/contour/tang/profile down to the narrowest finished dimensions first and work outward from there to shape and blend the relatively soft handle material into the curves you want. It's much easier to build a sleek, comfortable handle that way. No one likes a lumpy, edgy handle.

Sold my watch, want a recurve, but the funds are in my buddies paypal account, as i dont have paypal. But anyone knows a place that sells bows and accepts paypal?

I want the sammick sage, 62" RH at 45# from a place that has a 3 in the name and a flowing body of water in the name. If i cant find another place to sell it with paypal, id be willing to have a little extra money sent via paypal to anyone who could order it for me with a credit card, if there is anyone TRUSTED willing to do that id be happy to send an extra 10-15 bucks just for your time and help.

But if someone knows a place that sells bows and takes paypal that would be easiest :) My Aussie buddy could just send the funds straight to them.
 
Man i got me a good one!!!

So i got an email at 2am... just 15 minutes ago, from my wife. But my wife is passed out sleeping, so i was a little confused. I opened it up and she had set up a timed email to come to me at 2am, and had this plate hidden for me as my late night meal.

We has spagetti for dinner, im not sure how she slipped this food past me without me knowing, but man i cant be happier, fried chicken potato wedges and a roll, she knows me oh so well! Then she tossed a couple white kit-kats in the mix too... Now im going to clean the house spic and span for her, so when she wakes up the place is spotless.

Man they dont get no better than the one i was lucky enough to snatch up.
