I use the same keyboard WW, is awesome for having a wireless entertainment center with the PC sound pumping through my stereo.

I don't even have regular keyboard or mouse anymore, i threw out the computer desk Entirely and just have the tower sitting on the floor next to my TV.

It can be challenging at times but totally worth it

yea i love the idea... just needs to be a bit bigger if using it a lot.

I just found this logitech one... much better size i think. I also like the multi-touch pad...

I don't care for the mini- or small sized stuff. I prefer full size. I really like the full size wireless mousepad and keyboard. It's really nice.

I just put the logitech one in my cart.

WorldWood, I'm going to go ahead and apologize now. This isn't going to make a ton of sense but I'm going on a tangent for a minute.

I've been back at work, last week was my first week back after 7 weeks off. Today I got called into the managers office and she asked me why I do my job. I said "Honestly I do it for the money" apparently this was the wrong answer. She was looking for something more along the lines of "I love helping people" or "The gratifying feeling I get from enabling communication between the two worlds". However THAT isn't why I do this job. I do it because I get paid, and well. Base rate $30 per hour, two hour minimum. It means it doesn't matter from 24 hours before the job, till two hours after the job starts I'm making $60 per job. If the job is scheduled for 3 hours, it's $90. If the job is scheduled from 1700-2200 I'm making $45 per hour, same rules apply. If the job is scheduled from 2200-0800 it's $60 per hour. I pick up every overnight ER call that I can cause I walk in, and it's $120.
Tonight there was some deaf artist exhibit that I had to go interpret at. I was scheduled from 1900-2100. At 2100 I left, I wasn't going to stand around and talk to people I had no interest in about stuff I had no interest in, when I had stuff to do. I left the job and my boss called me on the drive home and proceeded to bitch me out about not representing the company well and how I need to be more mindful about being friendly to the deaf community. I politely (ok, not really but I tried) that I was raised in the deaf community and no matter how hard interpreters try, they aren't part of the deaf community.

TL;DR- Bitching about work, and why I do my job.

Thats some serious money!!!

Im around deaf people kind of frequently since my wifes mother and father are both deaf and live in this city. I can communicate with them, but i have to spell out a lot of words, i can tell it frustrates some of them too but My wife is completely fluent in sign language and has always wanted to be an interpreter but finding that work isnt very easy. She is working as a medical assistant in a hospital and working on becoming an RN. But i think my wife is part of the deaf community because she was raised the first part of her life as the only person in her house that COULD hear or talk. It was actually her first "language" she learned before learning to speak she was already signing... and up until she was 12 or so, I think- cant remember exactly how old she was, but it was the main form of communication in her house, but then she moved to live with her aunt.

I understand the barricade feeling though, not being a part of their community and all.... I know i dont feel real comfortable around them when they go to signing all fast and moaning and stuff... its just uncomfortable for me honestly. When i was younger i was made to go to a prison school, where I met a kid that was deaf, this guy was the definition of badass LMAO I watched him punch a cop in the face and climb on top of him punching him and the kid was only 14 years old, the cop was a full sized man LMAO But he didnt do all the moaning and making the sounds unless he was pissed, he taught me to sign so we could talk, even gave me a book to learn on my own.. I never got real good at it but me and him could talk for hours with no issues even though i spelled out a lot of the words... my wife's family are LOUD, i mean crazy loud for normal conversations.... and it makes me uncomfortable, and my wife knows this but i still try and get in there and be involved a little with their talks for her sake.

It is serious money, however I don't work very much. I work probably 20 hours a week. I wish I could work more but that is all the work I'm called for.

While my parent's aren't deaf I was raised in the deaf community as well. Sign language is my first language. Mind you I specialize in medical/surgical interpreting.

Although I recently picked up an on-going assignment which I'm REALLY looking forward to since it is a guaranteed 15 hours a week. If you ever have questions about signing or how to sign something just ask away man. With as much as we are on here I bet we could get you signing like a pro!

Wii do Cbear!!

Im going to buy this little cabin, just for somewhere to go and unwind once a year or so... It looks like a quaint little spot with a real hometown charm...

Seriously that house makes no sense at all. I could hit the lotto for a hundred trillion dollars and still would never want something like that. I was watching the show revenge, and there is only like 3 people in that mansion....

Now this is more my speed, right in the middle of 1000 acres.

See, I want like a 2-3bdrm, 2 bathroom place out in the middle of no where, with a farm for some pigs, chickens, couple cows, and some room to grow corn and a garden. Throw on a large solar panel to run a couple of appliances like a fridge and a wash machine, and lights... I don't even care about internet or anything like that.

Don't know how many of you guys out there play call of duty zombies but the new maps came out on ps3 yesterday, its a pretty cool, so I YouTubed it to see all the Easter eggs there are and it has an end cut scene which now brings up questions... Since the beginning it was to kids playing zombies, almost as if there are real zombies when ww2 was happening..

Filco tenkeyless, and a basicl click-wheel optical mouse.
All the rest is commentary.

Yup thats the biggest thing, its a personal choice! And to find whats best for you personally you have to test them out in applications similar to how it will be used.

So whats dog or rat did you get???

And i know its different, and prolly a pain to make, and most likely NOT the most practical for anything.... But from the moment i seen a khopesh i have been thinking how cool it would be to have one. A proper one. maybe not traditional, but crazy scary sharp and ready to freak everyone out LMAO

I also love seeing peoples taste in knives, its cool how some people can love the look of something and others just hate it, but when it gets really cool is when you have people, like the beckerheads for instance who share a lot of the same ideas of what they enjoy in a knife... seeing their other blade interests is always awesome!!

I ended up getting a sykco 311. I really wanted my first bussekin to be fairly inexpensive and be an EDC so that I could really look into how their steel performs for myself. I also wanted to try out the ResC handles. So far I absolutely love everything about it. Made a heavily waxed leather slip sheath for it. Really like it.

Sign language is amazing. We taught my daughter some when she was younger and it definitely helped out a lot with us communicating when she was first learning to speak. Now she speaks very well and knows quite a few base signs. I have to say knowing some basic communication signs have really helped me in interacting with the public. Very cool.

I'll be honest I wasn't too much of a fan of the Res-C handle.

Julio, love the jolly roger! I've thought about etching it into the rear of one of my EDC blades, not too sure how it would turn out though since I kind of suck with actual hands on work LOL!
