Some guy down the street from my house flying the Jolly roger

Maybe he's a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

I'll be honest I wasn't too much of a fan of the Res-C handle.

Yah, I was not sure about it either at first but I have to say after some use and handling I really dig it. It is definitely different and is probably not for everyone. Been doing a lot of whittling with it and comparing to the bk14 and mora mg clipper and its been really comfortable without any hotspots so far. I also like the "warm/soft" feeling it gives. Only time is going to tell with me how it all works out and holds up.

Sign language is amazing. We taught my daughter some when she was younger and it definitely helped out a lot with us communicating when she was first learning to speak. Now she speaks very well and knows quite a few base signs. I have to say knowing some basic communication signs have really helped me in interacting with the public. Very cool.
It's becoming very popular to teach little kids sign language. It's actually a good way to communicate with kids before they can speak. It uses a different skill set and different side of the brain.

In other news, I need $22,000 so I can buy this:

I've got a scrapmax with Res-C handle. Partly because of the lack of sheath, and partly because of the handle it hasn't made it into my regular rotation of knives. Of course that rotation is kind of overrun with Beckers, Esees, Daizee blades, and TMHunts.

I ended up getting a sykco 311. I really wanted my first bussekin to be fairly inexpensive and be an EDC so that I could really look into how their steel performs for myself. I also wanted to try out the ResC handles. So far I absolutely love everything about it. Made a heavily waxed leather slip sheath for it. Really like it.

Very nice!! I also didnt care for the res-c.. I tried a lot to love it, but i just didnt care much for... i tend to get blisters easier with rubbery handles. But the mudder handles are a different story, like on the 411. I have an 1111 and scrapper 5 here... neither are mine LMAO but the Infi scrapper 5's handle is much better than the 1111s, but i had the 1311 for a while and prefer the 1111 to the 1311 due to thickness and weight.

I get knives for people in Australia when the sellers wont ship over there and I proxy them to australia... Talk about a sweet gig LMAO, I get to see and hold knives id never get to see LMAO, i dont charge them any extra fees, they pay the exact shipping cost... but there is a clause in the agreement that i get to hold and admire every knife that comes thru me.... Sweet deal, i can figure out which knives i prefer before I buy them :D

1. Lon Cheney's parents were deaf, that's wavy he was so talented as a silent film actor, emoting with large gestures.

2. My father has that exact same flag, hangs from his porch.

3. My keyboard is a FAVI, $25, it needs to be small to be like my remote.

Nice deal!

Thanks bro, It is a pretty sweet setup. I have got to check out Busse and Kins, fiddleback forges, Tom kreins, GECs, and such. I mean I dont actually cut anything with them, their not mine lol, but checking them out and seeing how the handle, weight, ect.. is makes it worth it!

Yah for a chopper or a knife that could possibly be swaying in your hand like that, rubber might cause a problem... another thing that is great about beckers, smooth handles with perfect ergos... no real need for traction, and no worries about blisters.

Hells yah man that sounds like a really sweet gig! I would love to work for a place that sold knives or something similar so that I could at least handle more blades. Heck I would want to test them out though! All my online purchases typically are just based upon assumptions through experience so actually getting to handle something before the fact would be really cool. Luckily though, my instincts have not lead me astray and I have not ever purchased something that I regret. *knocks on wood*

Andy's work at Fiddleback Forge is absolutely amazing.
I've yet to handle a Tom Krein. What are your impressions?

Exactly. It is difficult to tell what the balance and feel would be by looking at a picture.

The one I held was a baby LMAO The fit and finish was excellent but it was the Krein Neck knife.... and it made the bk14 look big! Still for a small knife it was really cool. I just tried to find a picture but all im seeing is the boker ones... thats not what it was, it had the bulldog on the blade, and did not say boker on it.

I really like fiddleback though!!! That felt like a very tough knife!

Found some stencils online you can print and cut out. Might do the jolly rodger or a variation on my '84 K5. Also want to put some kind of "zombie defense force" or something like that on there.

Had to make supper for me and papa. I'm spending the weekend taking care of him. So tonight I made fajitas, without the tortillas since he is not eating gluten and it makes it really hard to find tortillas.

BOOM!

Aren't proper tortillas made of corn, and thus gluten-free??

Looks good commando, tho.

The problem is they are made in a factory with flour tortillas so unless they come from a strictly corn factory they will have cross contamination. The other issue is the way they clean out machines is to press bread through them. It works as a sponge and thus it contaminates the corn ones.

Got back home about 45 minutes ago. Didn't do as much hiking as planned, but still had a really good time.
