Official Beckerhead West Gathering Thread ~April 20th-22nd 2012!

I'm tossing some goodies from the Barlow crew in with the RBK. Sounds like you guys are going to have a blast. Wish the kitchen help and I could attend.
 
I may be able to make it this year. I have a plant id class that weekend but I think I could get out of it. What's the facilities like here? I'm assuming there are none.:eek: :D
 
There aren't any. It's basically a free for all on 1200 acres behind a locked gate. No dogs and no carrying/handling of weapons while indulging in drink, most everything else is negotiable.

You should get out of it, we are going to have our own plant id class.
 
If logan says ok, I"m digging a hole for some "facilities" this year. Also I have a box of goodies that just arrived for prizes!! You guys are gonna love it!
 
Well, it looks like I will be otherwise occupied during the gathering. My wife is 35 1/2 weeks pregnant and is sure that if I leave town the baby will come while I am gone!! I am in the process of bribes and future promises of being the best husband on the planet in hopes of making it down for a while on Saturday.
 
Alrighty Ladies and Gentlemen..... I have just received, not one but TWO boxes of goodies for the gathering. One from Kabar and one from Mr. Ethan Becker himself. I'm going to keep the contents a surprise for the most part, but let me tell you the contents of the boxes are AWESOME!!! Ethan has been INCREDIBLY generous and everyone is going to be insanely jealous of the prize winners of our contests. I"m on my lunch at work so I"ll be posting an official last post tonight about the final details for the gathering.

I can hardly wait! Soooooo ready for some outdoor time. Started sorting out some blades to drag along :) I am currently planning on sleeping inside my truck. It sure would be nice if the weather stays warm but I am bringing my pop up just in case. Hey! Might need it for shade! :D

I'm staying in my jeep I think, I'm used to that already. And bring lots of blades for show and tell!

Surprise wilderness survival endurance challenge.... still deciding on how to torture you guys!


I have 1st and 2nd place prizes, and they are GOOD prizes so come prepped!

So yeah things are looking good, I hope to see as many people possible there. I'll be taking lots of pics! Oh and if all goes according to plan we should be having some rabbit.
 
Go for rabbit. I'm leaving for the property thursday morning with Mh poole to set up , relax and we have some thing planned once it gets dark.
I really appreciate all the work you did on this Capt.
 
This sounds like an amazing trip and I wish I could make it down, just too much going on at home to steal away. If there are any plans for a Summer meet, I would be down for sure... It gets so lonely up here in Canada lol, plus I have the Summer off... Might even try to organize something for you guys to travel up here if there's interest.
 
If all go's well then we should be doing it again in the fall, octoberish, summertime just means "NO" fire down here.
