Official Northeast Beckerhead Spring Gathering. PICS ADDED.

I'll bring the weber, so we can grill some meat or do up something low & slow....

You mean were aren't going to do a half assed food and beer run like last time? That was fun.

Jeremy

I can grab some poundage of burger and buns from BJ's on the way...and I am building up a little stash of beer to bring as well. Maybe I should get a couple of bags of Doritos there, too. And something for the rest of us (yeah, I'm talking to you, trailbum). They have some pretty huge pork roasts , too - that is if anyone wants to try to be as fancy as that other Eastern Gathering.

I like half-assed food and beer runs.
Does anyone have experience with pork on the grill.

Yeah I can do up a pork roast on the grill. Will take much of Saturday though. Maybe a pork butt, and make some pulled pork?

Actually maybe I can bring a cool pork roast with me. There is a farm down the road where I get a lot of meat from, very tasty stuff and I like supporting them for doing good work and making great pork and beef. Let me check and see what they have available as we get closer. If that doesn't work we can pick something up on a run Fri night maybe....?

I can do up some killer pork chops also, those only take about an hour, much less time.

Yeah I could do up pork chops and chicken (parted out into pieces) at about the same time. Could even do 2 separate grills (chicken first then pork or versa-vice-a). Then we can add BBQ sauce to taste if people bring some that they like. I'll bring a rub for whatever we end up cooking....

I'm digging where this is going. Been looking at grill ideas for my old washer drum....including a spit. Maybe I can get something portable together in the next month......OK, don't hold yer breath. But I'll give it a shot. JWL, if you come up empty at the local pig palace, there's a guy here on the seacoast who I also like to support, and he grows some great hogs.

Dayum, getting excited about this. Today was finally comfortable for shorts and a t-shirt. Working at the Sea Hagg Distillery today was a total bonus. Drinking on the job!

Oh, yeah.....forgot to add that I'm working on a portable pellet trap for my new .22 airgun. Quiet, and not technically a firearm....planning on bringing it with, if that's OK. I think you guys'll have fun with it. I know I will.

Sweet. Been thinking about an airgun lately. Haven't fired anything other than a .177, and that was years ago.

My guess is once you try this one, a Benjamin Trail NP (Nitro Piston), you're gonna want one.

I need to see that Brute mounted on that rifle like a bayonet, stat!

Also, you guys are making me hungry.

Carry on!

Jeremy
