Official RBK Picture Thread - Post Your BK21 Shots Here

So, yesterday morning I threw out my back in the gym.

It's really bad.

The mailman came, and I tried getting to the back door (about 10") and didn't make it in time. Then had to crawl back to bed, and get into bed, which probably took 45 mins.

Then my wife brought it in... After what seems like 1.5 years of waiting... I finally got it.

The other bummer? I was supposed to go survival/ camping this week, and I hope hoping to do a first impressions review of the knife. :/
Oh well, hopefully I can walk next week and do it.

Heal up, BM. Been there with the back. Don't push it too hard to get going. The trees will still be there when you heal up.

Don't overlook a good chiropractor - I have one that usually gets me moving decent again after just a session or two, but she's been working on my back for several years,so she knows what I do when I do it in. "Real" doctors usually just want to give me some pills to reduce inflammation and don't address the "what's wrong."

Hope you heal quickly, BM. And you may have options more than just chiropractors (and potentially better). My wife is a D.O., and practices the osteopathic manipulation techniques they all are supposed to learn, and has fixed me after a bad Krav Maga sparring session on more than one occasion.

Hello BM,

Sorry about the back, get well. I've been there numerous times and agree with the other members comments of chiro and OM. Regular docs only prescribe pills. Try not to hack up the furniture with that thing while you are recuperating...

...Immediately started clearing dead brush and small limbs from an old pine tree in my backyard. Dang, that thing really works, my bk4 just bounced off the same tree....

sounds like your BK4 is a bit dull?

ah, liners and magic-carta, makes those skinny handles pop :D

Did bladlite promise some purty then not pay up? And no one gave him a razzing on it?

Or did I skim too fast?

sharpened up my RBK proper-like this evening. I had to pick up the 3x8" coarse diamond stone and wave it around like a madman. Pretty scary now, though. :D

Thanks for the advice guys!
I am going to start running at least 3 times a week, doing more deadlifts, maybe some swimming, and I am going to try to go to the chiro once a month.
You know what... I have had Beckers for over a year now I think... And I don't have any micarte scales.
That is a travesty...
And I have a 9, a 4, and a 21 that will all want a pair.

Not a travesty at all. You're simply "frugal", like me. I have 50+ Beckers (Blackjack, Camillus and Kabar) and all but one of them has standard factory handles. The only one that doesn't was a used one that I picked up that had been changed out. The micarta is good, but I don't have any great urge to replace the rest of the handles.

You only need micarta for as many as you will carry with you at once. (for some people that's an absurd number)

I tried the micarta. Can't say I cared for it.

I tried it briefly on the RBK to see if I liked more weight in the hand - didn't make enough of a difference, so I put it back on my 10.
BTW, they are torquing the handle bolts down nicely now.

I still want my peanut butter nylon scales. I like the feel of the stock scales too much, I guess.
