Official SURVIVE! picture thread

Many thanks.. That was taken on my front deck.. :) You got to love the Redwoods..

You've got some beautiful scenery around you Mike, and that 3.5 looks right at home. Makes me want to expedite my plan to get out of the city. Can't wait until I can take my new 4.1 when it comes in out onto some northern Ontario trails.

Thanks for all you do!

If you have room at the very, very bottom of your to do list, and if you have the power, could you make our SURVIVOR! thread a sticky? Thank you for considering!

I don't think I have the power to do that. But I did add it to list to look into it more.

Looking good in orange there, sister!

I was thinking it was Guy who made our pic thread a sticky. Nevermind then. Thank you for looking into it, we do appreciate it!

Just "acquired" this case from my mom's antique booth stash! A little bit of clear polyurethane and different handles and I'm set. My dog has to be in every photo.

Ha! Usually when I see "acquired" I think "stolen". I'm sure that isn't the case here..... or is it?

Regardless, cool way to showcase your GSO's. If this is the before shot will we get an after shot when the work is done?

Nice dog!

She really doesn't complain to much when I take something since I'm an only child! It certainly has its perks. I'll post a photo once I get it all cleaned up and inside.

That's a cool looking antique cabinet Bryan.. I like it.. Love the dog too.. :)

I forgot to post these here..

Here's a few pics of some little PSK addition's I made to my 3.5 handle...

- 1 tinder quick
- 1 fishing hook
- some 50# spiderwire

I could just try on my own, but I'll still ask: are you able to unscrew the screws just from one side? Do you need something to keep the back side from turning?

No you don't need another screwdriver to tighten them back up but it'll take some work to get them perfectly horizontal again. I would suggest that you loosen the screws from the right side though because you can get a better purchase with a flathead. Just be careful though!

I am looking for a GSO 5.1
if there is anyone! or anyone who knows someone. who would part with it for the right price please let me know asap...
if i cannot find this particular knife, i will be forced to pick up a esee 5, which wouldnt be the end of the world.
I would prefer the GSO 5.1 tho

Sweet! I love the way charcloth grabs and holds a very cold spark. If you don't get as nice a burn as you want, you can flip the tin and burn off a bit more smoke, and you're usually golden. Just a note as it looks like you got a nice char on it

I got pretty lucky with this stuff probably because it's old bandana material. I forgot I used it as an acetone rag though! It kept catching on fire!
