No I got rid of the 4.1 about a month after I got the 5. It's just more comfortable to me and I have the 3.5 that I carry everyday. The 4.1 just sat in the safe and I needed extra vet bill money so I let it go.

DANG, I remember that now. Sorry.

With an ultimate tag team like the 3.5 and 5 it makes sense to cut out the middle man.
 
Survive! still has drawings of their blades on their website for some reason and I was curious to see the new gso 4.1 and how much deeper the finger groove is compared to the older spec.

These have not been created yet. Nobody has one :)

You can order one and you can compare pics and specs, but they won't be shipping out for awhile yet.

I could go nuts posting links and such to be helpful, but look around here, check out surviveknives.com and ask any other questions you have!

No they aren't out yet. I believe they're in the process of getting the steel and having them cut. There's a good thread about the production schedule on the regular page.
 
In order to scratch my Survive! Itch, I ordered a new 4.1 in 3V because they will ship before the 6 or the 8. I had 2 of these 4.1s, 1 in M390 and one in 3V, but I gifted the 3V to a colleague. I will post some comparisons of new vs. old specifications once I get the new 4.1.
 
Skipped my bike race this morning and have a woods date in a few hours. Looks like I'll be able to get a few more Survive! pics up this evening. :D

Cool I'm waiting to see all the comparisons and see what people prefer.
 
Finally got out in the woods this weekend

Put a new suit on my 4.1. Was dyeing some clothes for hunting and decided to throw my scales in for a soak.
 
Traded my 5 to a guy that really wanted it more than his 6!! I like it when things work out great for both parties. I also just received this awesome Necker from MoS!!

That piggyback and dangler is so awesome.
 
I'm really liking it so far. It's so close in size and weight that it's hard to even tell the difference but I really need to get outside and use it. I felt bad about letting the 5 go but at the same time I kept thinking about the 4.7 that's coming. I think I'll have a few more bases covered now size wise.

It was originally green canvas but really faded. Tossed them in the dark brown Rit dye for like 30 seconds and they instantly turned brown. Kinda diggin 'em but next time I'm gonna do dark green I think.

I absolutely love this knife and will keep 'modding' it until it is truly perfect.
