Oh Say Can You Snark...

No White Castles down here, we have Krystal's instead... pretty much the same thing, but not as much onions. I'm no longer allowed to consume either one, especially not on road trips. My personal record is nine minutes between the first bite and the first room-clearing, eye-watering, throat-tightening, scrambling-to-roll-the-windows-down fart.

ah love me a bag of crystals!!!!!

Sometimes the nastiest stuff you can put in your mouth turns out to be the BEST.

Just got some White Castles. Got 6 sliders, had them "doubles" but it was 1 chicken one burger with cheese in between, then fries and mozz sticks, and a chocolate shake... OM NOM MOTHERFRICKIN' NOM!

Gut bomb city. Tasty going down. Lethal on the other side.

DUDE! You ain't joking! I been ripping ass this morning that is PUNGENT! I mean.. HOLY CRAP! I made my own eyes tear up.

Sadly, no White Castles down here in central Texas, other than the frozen ones you can buy at Sam's Club. Killeen used to have a Krystal's, but they closed for some reason. I did like the White Castles better though, probably because of the extra onion. I never timed my "bite to flatulence", but I do recall an eating contest when I was a young teen....I believe I ate 15 of the basic White Castle sliders at that time...

I went years without having any white castle, then a year or 2 ago we seen one on a road trip and stopped by. I was let down. My old memories were not done any justice.

Same thing with Waffle house. I use to be a waffle house VIP down in Florida. They were 24 hours and id go in several times a week and tear up some breakfast in the 2-4 am time frame.... Went years without having any... My wife had never ate there so we seen one on a road trip and stopped... It was HORRIBLE.

For fast food i love me some Checkers. A Roadhouse burger and their fries are hard to beat at any other drive thru place i been to IMO.

Show me your war face!!!

Well why not? That's the serious connoisseur's test of a truly excellent gourmet dining experience :p

There are neither White Castles nor Krystals in WI... I think the state outlawed 'em for environmental reasons. But years ago there used to be a little place called Buddy's in my hometown where you could grab a couple friends, get messed up and snag a dozen sliders and two large fries for $4 or something ridiculous like that. There was also a similar burger joint right by the courthouse, owned by HOF'er and Packer legend Ray Nitchtke. They're gone now, it's nothing but crappy chains.

There's a great independent burger/deli/diner in Oak Ridge called The Other One, if you're ever in that neck of the woods. It's tucked away in kind of a crappy little strip mall, but the food is awesome, and they have about 3 dozen types of hot sauce to choose from, plus a beer license.

The beer license clinches the deal.

However, I worry about radioactivity just driving through Oak Ridge. They really should have named that burger above the Nuclear Armageddon. :D :p

The 3 dozen hot sauces does it for me :D

Me and the wife stopped by a hot sauce vendor a couple years ago, somewhere while on a mini-vacation, and the hot sauce vendor had a deal where if you could stand to eat a 2nd drop of his hottest hot sauce 5 minutes or so after the first drop then you could have a bottle of any hot sauce he had for free.

Of course this was his way of laughing at people after they took the first drop knowing most would never take a 2nd drop... But im a hard headed guy LOL.... Now normally i dont enjoy extremely hot sauces or peppers, but i do eat a lot of hot sauce and jalapenos. So when the wife seen the sign explaining the deal she told me to try it... I told her i didnt really want to but then she started poking fun saying i couldnt handle it and just trying to press my buttons.... It worked LOL

I almost died on the first drop. No joke i thought i was near death. But then i was like, if i dont take the 2nd then that was for nothing... I died twice LMAO

BUT In all honesty if the wife wasnt there watching me i would of walked out crying like a school girl after the first drop HAHA And after the 2nd drop the guy said "great job pick any bottle you want" And i said something like "i dont want anymore damn hot sauce now" LOL.... I let the wife pick the hot sauce... I had no interests in his poisons at that point HAHA

Just got back from a trip with my wife and kiddos. Tuesday was the wife and I's wedding anniversary and we decided instead of buying each other gifts or going out to a restaurant we would spend a couple days together in a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Had an absolute blast! Got a pretty nice cabin that was far enough out the phones did not work at all, grilled a lot of food, and went to a couple national parks in the area. Mainly relaxed and enjoyed nature. Took a couple pictures I think but not a lot. Did get this picture though just for you guys... I'll have to see later if we got anything else.

Bloody steaks are the best steaks.

I can't find it on their site, but they have a deal called "The Fat Man Challenge" or something like that, it's a HUGE burger and fries with everything on it, weighs 3-4 pounds or something insane. If you finish it all in a certain time you get a t-shirt and your picture on the Wall of Fame. If you try it and fail, they put your picture on the Wall of Shame :D

Meh, a little mutation never hurt anyone.

I actually like living this close to ORNL, it saves me from having to prepare for lot of survival scenarios. If there's ever a nuclear war, I won't have to worry about anything except opening a bottle and catching one last buzz... because in about 20 minutes I'll be vaporized. :D

We have a small fenced in back yard area. Its only about 10'x15' but Neko loves it out there. In the last week or so though he has killed 5 mice back there. Mostly at night. He has learned i dont want him to eat them, that or he lost interests in eating them because now he is just killing them and bringing them to me and dropping them at my feet. Good i dont want him eating them. He eats better than lots of people, he doesnt need any mice. I also havent seen a single mouse inside since he killed 2 of them over a month or 2 ago. Now he goes outside and hunts them down!! He keeps going after birds too, but has not caught one of them yet.... He just hasnt figured out how to fly yet LOL

But naming him Neko turned out PERFECT. He grooms himself, doesnt like being held, and catches and kills mice... He is a better cat than most the cats i have had LMAO

One huge difference is he loves water though.

I bet he is going to make a great garden "protector"!! Anything that moves will be bitten LOL

Here is my buddy, he just got through playing in the water and rolling around in the dirt... he is a happy camper!!!

Those are when I lock the windows and laugh maniacally!

Doesn't matter who's driving, I'm married. If Mama ain't happy, no one's happy ;)

There's not a white castle or crystals in Oklahoma, so whenever we visit my brother we always stop and get some

I always hit white castle when I am at training classes in Ohio... about once a year is enough.
