I have also been thinking about the WS:KOE. My brother inlaw is trying to convince me to build a crazy huge grinder in my garage. Once I get some cash to clean it all up and make some proper benches, I have an 8hp electric motor that I'm thinking of making one of those crazy 3 x 72's out of :D
 
I've got to be either stupid or crazy or just weird because for some reason I felt the need to screenshot this on my phone because I'm a nerd and figured this could never happen again. :(

Well I got nothing to do today so this might be a good chance to make some youtube vids, which I haven't done in a long while. I have a BK7 with the coating still on and a BK10 that's been stripped so I think I'll do some testing to see if I can tell the difference. Then I'll try to answer that oh-so-common question "which Becker should I get first?" (Answer: BK9 :D ) Then I'll pit my SP8 and LHB against the BK9 to see how bad they loose to it.

I'm on daddy duty until later today when we ship the kids off to the inlaws. Tonight I have a stagg & doe to attend in the city. Will be good to see some friends that I have not seen in a while.

That's the plan. Just checked all the blades and ran a few through the worksharp. The edges aren't all exactly the same but they're all more or less shaving sharp. I had to resist the urge to take more blades than I am. I have several comparisons I want to do but I don't feel like doing knife videos until the sun sets.
 
Thing about the Worksharp is, its small and quiet. Even a small cheapo harbor freight takes up about 10 times the space and makes 10 times the noise ..lol. If your using it to reprofile and clean up edges and sharpen, then its WAY better that a big grinder as far as space and noise, and muss and fuss. Cant through a grinder in your go bag and use it in your truck or tent plugged into the power on your truck either. Right tool for the right job. If your gonna MAKE knives get a proper grinder. If your gonna work on your knives, then the KO worksharp is hard to beat for portability, size and sound. It works real well too. plus for those of us that can easily ruin a blade free hand, Guards...lol

So, I got this idea for a survival TV show that will blow them all out of the water. Forget naked and afraid, never mind dual survival. This show is going to make me rich beyond all comprehension....... here goes.

Take all of the worlds best survivalist. Give them UNLIMITED supplies/resources/rations etc. Whatever they need. Send them out on a 5 mile hike with my 11yr. old daughter. The last one standing at the end that doesnt bury a M-18 in there own skull from all of the drama and misrey wins.......... NO SHIT!!!!!!! LOL!

I took the family yesterday for a 5 mile hike. I think my daughter would of preferred being water boarded. She had to pee, her feet hurt, the walk was to long, we was lost, we were going to be attacked by wild animals, she was going to die, she couldnt walk any further, and that was a half a mile in. :rolleyes: bless her heart.

Was she seriously concerned about wild animals? Her old man invented the M-18 for God sake!!! :eek: :D Sound like my sister, 'cept I could never get them to go on a hike with me. We never go on "hikes" my Dad has a bum knee, I have a bum knee, and my older sister's back is shot. :(
 
Todd that show would be great. Have my three year old tag along too and it could be called Suicide Hike. I know it's not smart to take a three year old hiking but we usually get a quarter or half mile before it's all over with.
 
ROFL! Todd that's awesome man. Reminds me of my 4 year old when he is overtired and hungry. The only thing I would ask for is a good length of rope. Enough to hog-tie the little ones to a branch to carry them, and some to gag them to stop hearing the constant complaining. Problem solved ;)

Kidding... It's just the age. She would be in paradise if you just left her in the car with a cellphone..crack the windows, leave her a bowl of water. Again... kidding I'm just thinking of what I would like to do with my kids sometimes if I had no morals or ethics lol.
 
Lol, yeah, what was strange is she's been on that hike a few other times, you'd figure she should of knew what to expect. I love both of my kids equally, but Lord forgive me, she is lazy. Hope she comes out of that. Lazy is no way to go through life....... on the other hand, my son would of went another 5 miles if it was up to him. Strange how two kids fro the same parents can be so different.

LMAO!!! Man i understand completely!!!

My son will spend all weekend walking through the woods with me and be happy he is doing it.... My daughter on the other hand is not happy about something or another in the first 30 minutes we go out every time it seems. And even though i tell my daughter every time we go that she doesnt have to come if she doesnt want to, she always says she wants to go and will have fun and tells me how much she loves going in the woods with me..... Then we get out there and it starts the cycle of... "Daddy im tired, daddy my legs hurt, daddy there are bugs, daddy are we almost done yet" Etc. etc.

If she only did that in the woods it would be one thing, id chalk it up to she just doesnt care for the woods even though she keeps trying to, and id respect her for trying to enjoy it multiple times before deciding it wasnt for her.... But no... It doesnt matter where we go, she finds something to complain about. Even when she picks where we are going.

She is the queen of "are we there yet" in the car, and the first one to complain about something when we finally do arrive....... Me and my wife say she is just anxious to get somewhere to tell us everything wrong with the place LMAO a critic in the making LOL

I dont care what anyone says.... Daughters are WAY more work than sons, harder to keep happy, and cost more too. Im just glad i had a son my 2nd go around... Otherwise there is no telling how many little girls id have LOL..... I told my wife before we were married i was going to have a son..... even if it took 10 kids........ Luckily it only took 2 HAHA

I love my daughter to death, she can be a real sweetheart, but there is no doubt she is a handful LOL
 
Anyone watching the new show "Tyrant" ? Its really entertaining!!

I think to enjoy it you have to be able to watch it for entertainment ONLY, and understand its a show, not reality.... I seen some negative reviews because they always speak English, not enough people practice the religion in the show and stuff like that.... But who cares its just a show.... And so far a really good one IMO

I think these days too many people pick apart TV shows and movies and complain about how unrealistic they are... Well duh, its TV made for entertaining people..... I have seen negative reviews for sci fi shows and movies that complain it was too unrealistic too... Well thats the point.... Lots of people watch TV for amusement, and real, regular, life is not always that damn amusing lol.

Unrealistic TV can be great.... That canned laugh track crap SUCKS though.


I guess my daughter gets some of her criticizing skills from me HAHAHAHA

Guess this'll be it for the Belgian Red Devils in this years world cup. I'm proud of our guys. They've done well.
