Hossa knows what's up!

I'm a fan of Top Gear and I remember the episode where she did that. I think she hosts the German Top Gear because I think she was in another episode where they had a competition between the British TG and the German TG.

I didn't find her attractive enough to watch the clip. I was basing it off the teeth in the pic. Thanks!

She's kinda the anti-Danica Patrick. She's actually known for her driving rather than her looks. :D Though I suppose 10 years before that pic was taken she may have been quite the looker. Possibly.

Hey guys!

I'm back from Scout camp, lots of fun. While I was there, I saw a guy cutting some rope with a Benchmade Mini grip, I said something to him about it, and he had no clue what it was, he said he found it in a tent, I told him it was a really nice knife. Long story short, I traded my Dozier folder to him for it.

You mean those 20 dollar kabar dozier folders?

He probably went home, looked up both knives online and seen you tricked him into trading a 20 dollar folder for 100 dollar folder.... Right now he is searching for your address, then he is going to use what he learned in scouts to come find you.

Yeah, I knew someone would say that, but I told him how much both knives were worth before I even thought about trading. He didn't know what Benchmade was, but he did know what KA-BAR was, and really, really wanted one. And you can find a Mini grip for about $60. It didn't really mater to him either, because he found it in a tent.

He is still hunting you down :p

I'm no chemist, I only know about certain chemicals from handling them, back when I used to have a real job. I'm one of those annoying characters who actually reads MSDS sheets and whatnot.

MSDS sheets.... part of my job is auditing chemicals in our facility and verifying that we have the MDSD sheet for it. They are a good read, LOL!

I like it when I find a new product that doesn't have a MDSDS on file yet. I get to start a panic, then sit back and watch.

Found it in a tent, in a footlocker or pack... Yeah ...

Sounds like a crock to me.... There are a few scouts that seem to find lots of stuff in tents..

Fishy, very fishy...

Doc

That is what I thought too. "Found" it in a tent? Was it his tent? If not was the tent abandoned?

I hope it was legit for karma's sake.

Jeremy

Yeah, I'm not sure. He was actually a staff member, but still. Fishy indeed.

If he was a staff member then it's very possible he could have found it. I used to help with my church's youth group and anytime I used my truck or tent or anything for an event I would find things that nobody would ever claim. And I always announced at the next meeting too.

If this guys a camp counselor, who knows. Kids are very irresponsible. Well, not all, I take that back, I know I have a 11 year old who is. Left her Kindle fire laying on the bed in the condo we had in Florida a couple of weeks ago. Luckily the lady that owned it was nice enough to package it and send it to us. I made my daughter send her a thank you card and re pay the shipping cost out of here allowance money.
In that situation, dont know of many young kids that carry around a $100. Pocket knife. My son is 10 and pretty responsible, definately knows and respects knives. Still carries cheapo's for the most part just because he's 10 and 10 yr. Olds lose stuff.

Other news, its 10:30. My wifes Dad is coming over today out of the blue. Mixed feelings about that. We have lived here since 2007 and hes been here twice. Wife decided to have a cookout for the occasion. Invite her sister and brother in law. Think im going to go ahead and switch to beer and start the self medicating process. Gonna be a long day of holding my tongue. Gotta love family dynamics!

Well Todd, it sounds like you've got one heck of a hootenanny planned today. Best of luck, sir!

Well, if he's a summer camp counselor, and he actually found the knife in a tent, then he should have turned it into the summer camp lost and found. Then, when the kid that lost it got home and his mom or dad asked him "where's your knife?", they could call the camp and get it back. If after a suitable time (at least after the camping season), it wasn't claimed, they could give it to the finder. I'm not saying it wasn't legit, but after seven years of BSA summer camps, I am not pleased to say there is more "finding stuff" (read theft) at BSA summer camps than one would like to believe.

You most always get back clothes, faks, toiletries, etc. but rarely cameras, knives, laptops, cell phones or other expensive items. Also remember, adult leaders camp in the tents too. The expensive stuff is usually in those tents. Heck, I routinely brought my BK9 and kept it in my foot locker. After all, you have to make your club and ball for the leader told tournament, and the king really shines at that.

A coupla chiggers found their way to scrotesville. Gives new meaning to the term "crotch itch". Not fun.

Last night, I mixed salt into Vick's vapor rub, and applied. I also have been taking benadryl. I didn't have much itch last night, which is what the vicks does, and the salt definitely has drawn the sores out. Took as hot a shower as I could possible stand, and scrubbed hard. I put some witch hazel back on. So far, so good. Some itching around the ankles, but nothing I can't tolerate.

I once used a blanket wash(solvent) that worked really well but was giving me terrible headaches, so I asked the distributor for the MSDS. "Oh I can't give you that, it's a proprietary formula."

Allll righty then, you'll be taking this poisonous vile concoction back and refunding our money. :grumpy:
