My sheath from Godspeed finally came, overall I really like it, the only problem was he made it for the stock grivory instead of kabars micarta, but a quick pass with the hair dryer fixed that

I guess I didn't realize there was difference in size between the micarta and grivory.

Me neither till I asked him, he said one's a little thicker than the other and he would press it for the micart I guess he forgot

My wife is watching the "True Blood" vampire show and last night i seen the end of an episode.... I swear it has to be one of the craziest things i have seen in a very long time. The last 2 minutes of season 3 episode 3. Dont watch around children... Maybe just dont watch at all LMAO ...... I may or may not have watched the part again today though LOL :D

When you hear "Oh William, i still love you" you have seen the right part. And despite how that sounds there is nothing romantic about this situation.......

Found out recently that one of the founders of the Chive plays a cop on that show.

All I have to say is, if I didn't put the solar cover on my pool the other day, my dog would still be alive...:(:thumbdn:

Sorry to hear that buddy.

We're trying to think of a name for the cabin. The previous owners called it, "The Big Sandy Ranch". I was sorta leaning toward Lazy Bear Ridge. There are black bears in the area. I also liked Copperhead Hollow, for obvious reasons.

We have box turtles in Maine, but they are really rare. I would love to see one some day.

That would be a cool name though.

We have them here in abundance. The wife took a photo of the one at the cabin:

Thinking about taking a midnight trip to LL Bean for an Emberlit Ti stove.

Should I stay or should I go now?

Im sure you may of said so before but i dont recall.... is the cabin in Illinois?

I like lazy bear ridge... Has a good ring to it.

If it were mine id call it "Loner Stoner Camp" or "Privacy Palace" or "Hillbilly Hotel" or "Country Castle" or something like that :D

It's in the Ozark foot hills, of the Mark Twain National Forest, Missouri. We also entertained Moonshine Ridge, and talked about making a fake still at the end of the driveway.

If you stay there will be trouble, if you go it will be double.

Go forth, get the stove!

 Moonshine Ridge. Fake still? why not a real one ;) If it's out in the sticks and your driveway is 3/4 mile long you can easily make your own shine shack :D

You have been providing the inspiration right along. LOL!

I even have a gift card that should cover it. The only thing is I hate driving and the store is over 1.5 hours away.

Totally worth the drive.

If the drive is that long, I would suggest you look at other things then just a stove ;). Do they stock Becker products? you need to listen to me... I am your conscience.

Moonshine Ridge would be sweet!! Moonshine Mountain sounds cooler though :p The fake still would be a cool touch!!

And sounds like a great area!! One day i hope to own a piece of property on the water. Completely wooded. Would be a dream.... 1 dream at a time though, and first i want to move to the woods for good.

And those pictures look awesome. Very clear!!

I do like the sound of Moonshine Ridge, but I like Lazy Bear Ridge better though. We're talking about building a deck off the side of the hill. Have some steps going up to it. The crow's nest, if you will. Who knows, perhaps we'll add on one of these days, and retire there. I could easily do it. I manipulate my photos using GIMP. My camera takes decent photos, but they look even better GIMPed.
