Awesome! It was in an old friend's garage after he moved away and told my cousins and I to go in and take what we wanted. So I'm planning on putting a handle on it and sending him some pictures of it.

7-10C and raining for the past couple weeks, per usual February weather. Finding the will to go out camping is hard with this weather, but we're gonna buckle down and do it anyway this weekend.

Went to a kitchen store, found these 4-star 6" Santokus on sale for $40ea. I bought the rest of the display. FABULOUS factory blades, one of the best price/performance values around even at the normal price. German steel, forged integrals, tough handles with good ergos. I've had a pair of the 7" version for 15+ years, and they are the standard by which I measure the performance of my own kitchen knives. I suppose one or both will be come gifts for the needy, but I may need to keep one...

just clicked on "recent posts" on another forum - there was an 8 minute old for sale thread with a used BK21 priced under $100...
