My grandfather had an old opinel, I remember that even when i was little I wanted one and that and other traditionals spurred my interest in knives at a young age.

I've only handled one when I was little, I don't own one. Thank you for the awesome giveaway jackknife!

This is not an entry, checked my inventory and have No 2 to No 15, several in both carbone and stainless, several regular and slim. Also have an order for more giveaway No 6s to replenish the ones for my grandchildren and some more premium woods. I find the No 6 is a fine size for women and children, as well as the lock to keep them safe.

I've never owned one. I wanted to, but my knife budget's been frozen for a while now. And when I did have money for one, I never found time.
 
Have one w/o the new feature to lock it closed. New one on the way, so NOT AN ENTRY. Super neat pieces, mostly do not raise brows around NKP.

Never had an Opinel, though I've read about them. I've only recently come to the traditionals with the purchase of a #54 GEC Whittler (thanks, Jim!) to match my old Hen and Rooster Congress from years ago.

Also, I've been to France, but never saw one in use. I would really like that. So, if I don't win here, I'm following Woodrow's advice and purchasing one of my own. :)

I have been fascinated by everyone's love for them since I read many of your posts about them. I couldn't tell you how many times I have had them in my cart when shopping online, but for some reason never pulled the trigger on one. I'm in.
 
I've been close, but just haven't quite pulled the trigger yet. Maybe I'll get lucky here!
