Olamic Tactical

are you planning to reopen your subforum here, Eugene? Seems like it might be a good time to dust it off ;)

I wouldn't blame him if he didn't. I think all the cry babies forced the zt/kershaw to close. People comparing a $150 knife to a $300 knife. Yeah there are gonna be some variations of some sort, but the sky is falling if the grind isn't asymmetrical.

That collection looks sweet kancler!!! I'm loving mine more and more, it looks and feels like art but works for heavy EDC use. Great knives!!

That really is eye candy, kancler! Thanks for sharing! I recently picked up my first 247, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. I love everything about the knife. The way it carries, the way it flips, the way it cuts, and of course, the way it looks.

I'll also add that acquiring the knife on the secondary market, it arrived without the proprietary pivot tool. I emailed Olamic regarding purchasing a new one. Gene emailed me back and shipped a new pivot tool at no cost the same day! That speaks volumes to me about the man behind the company.

Thanks Gene!

^ Thanks for sharing some positivity here, Vlad!

Mine's on the way! :)

Mine's on the way, too, John. Pretty excited for this one, as I've been eyeing them for a while. Vlad hooked me up as well...I snagged the duo-tone stealth w/ blue ano hardware off him :)

Just pulled the trigger on a 247 too, can't let them all get away, I'll post pics when it arrives of course.

My 247 came today, The action and size are perfect.

Pics of course

I am interested in much of what I am seeing from Olamic but building them up by going down the list of some of the most popular brands on this forum and tearing them up is not the way to do it.

What do you mean by that? I'd love to discuss this further if you feel like us Olamic fans are building up the brand by tearing down other brands. Please feel free to speak your mind on this.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to Bodog's original comments/opinions of other high end production blades. To his credit, he took it down but it was quoted. This thread convinced he to pick up a Wayfarer today :)

Has anybody taken a "tour" of the shop. My family is split between Santa Cruz and Hanford/Visalia and I wouldn't mind fondling a few customs and maybe picking up some merch the next time I'm visiting family

So just about a week ago I took the plunge and ordered a 247 Wayfarer from RussianKnives.com. I looked around at all of the dealers listed at Olamic's website and decided on this beauty. RK.com was super communicative and all-round great to deal with--I ordered on Saturday and had the knife in hand Monday. She's a beauty for sure and a lotta knife in a compact package. I'm lusting after the large Wayfarer now and will probably be ordering a build off the proceeds of my next project.
