Old Friends Friday

Beautiful Barlow Jack, nice pic too. Forum knives seem to have a tendency of turning out well.

This Mustang found it's way out of accumulation confinement a couple days ago. I kept it out for today's Old Friends Friday thread because with it's repurposed American Chestnut and stainless steel it is a strong favorite of mine. So much so that it sparked in me the round up of a small herd of Mustangs.

Thank you James, that's a nice pattern :) I do enjoy getting out an Old Friend, think my Abbeydale Jack might be due some time on parole :D ;)
Very nice Jer

My brother's old mini copperhead I rescued from a box of junk tools in his basement not long before he passed. I like to carry it every now and then.

That is a beautiful knife! Special on many levels my friend. What is the cover material?

It's the natural wear that makes it so attractive. I'm glad for you that you have that one and grateful to you for sharing it with us.
Thank you! Funny thing is, he had replaced it with a new mini copperhead some years before he passed. He thought of this one as just an old worn-out knife. (The pen blade has seen better days.)

I'll have the senior Webley and the perfect-looking nose, please.
I ALREADY have a perfect-looking nose, thank you, and I’m pretty sure there is still a Webley just like that at my parents’ house, with its original box from the 1940s (unless my brother took it to Atlanta with him sometime before he passed). I put a lot of lead pellets through that thing as a kid - handling all that lead might explain a lot about my current mental state…🤣

Here’s an old friend from the 1980s. I never found an occasion to really use it much, as you can see from the intact etch:

This attractive big Ol' Friend deserves to get out more often.

overhead trees reflected on blade obscure etch which reads "Waynorth's Black Jack"

My old friends Peanut and Wenger get carried often. I seldom ask why 2 smalls?😁
