This and its twin were the first two I ever saw. I got the first one really cheap because some idiot had actually crossed the blades.
Beautiful jigging there BobA little Marshall, Wells with the 93.View attachment 2322206
Despite a full-height center liner!I have seen that with pen knives, but never with a Jack!![]()
Thanks kindly Jack.Beautiful jigging there Bob![]()
Good grief!Despite a full-height center liner!
Looks great DaveMy first GEC, these sat on shelves for more than a year. Many people didn't like the firm pull and gater snap. I wanted a jack knife that was built like the ones more than a hundred years ago and when it showed up I was hooked.

Nice story DaveThank you Jack!My wife gifted me that 78. At the time I didn't feel confident buying really good examples of vintage/antique traditionals and she saw me searching GEC 78's. Even though it isn't quite 10 years of age, it is definately an "Old Friend".
Looks like a great pocket companion JerNo story to speak of, but I've had it a while. Boker Evergreen olive wood.

Thanks. It should be, but I never warmed up to it. Partly delayed sticker shock, I think. Today I'll throw it in with my '47s.Looks like a great pocket companion Jer![]()
I know what you mean Jer, I've plenty of knives I love the look of, but never really warmed toThanks. It should be, but I never warmed up to it. Partly delayed sticker shock, I think. Today I'll throw it in with my '47s.
[One of 500, though- puts me in a pretty exclusive club.]
Nice knife James, and a great slip for itSmall game season opened here last week. I likely won't be joining in but it gives me an excuse to carry this old friend as I walk the woods and fields.
