Wow, that's a great-looking Barlow Jer!I have a fair number of big Barlows- two Camillus that I found in one year in New York, a CamilloRemington that I got pretty reasonable at the Coloma antique mall in a tin with a regular Barlow,...
I just rediscovered this one, a Japan Sabre with a flat grind, a nice belly, a pinchable nick at the high point like Charlie's 2021, nicely weathered bone, great walk and talk, and fine fit and finish. (I rather like it.)

Sorry folks, if you are using Imgur to host your pics, I cannot see them
I think my Ubuntu has a vpn feature, speaking of such things. Some paranoiac I am, not using it yet.

Good point about the AI Jer, I'll look forward to seeing the lighthousesI have a new calendar arriving yesterday that has just left the shipper's facility today. The lighthouses on the one I'm using have no names or locations, and it occurred to me they might not exist outside of artificial imagination.
High Spade from Modoc Ed hasn't had much carry in a while:

Indeed yes. It's an elegant knife, but strongly built. Like John Steed or Napoleon Solo.Good point about the AI Jer, I'll look forward to seeing the lighthousesHigh Spade was a generous gift

I have a calendar with attributed lighthouses in my shopping cart, but the one on its way has beguiling forest paths. I'll have a rest from swill[ing]with the wild and wasteful sea.
(I think I've got that right: "Let the brow o'erwhelm it as fearfully as doth the jagged rock o'erhang and jutty his confounded base, swilled with the wild and wasteful sea.") I'll check it later. In a book.
