Old Friends Friday

This seemed an appropriate place to post my carry for the past week, even if it only fits the thread criteria in a round about way. This Schrade-Wolstenholm will be recognizable to many of you as it has in fact been posted here in the past... just not by me. ;) :)

It's a wonderfully made knife with a terrific history, and it's special for a number of reasons, but none more so than it was a very special 'old friend' to my good friend Jack Black for 35 years before he gifted it to me. Thanks again Jack. I'll cherish it always, and promise to carry it with me as often as possible when I get out for a hike. :) :D

Thanks! The weather is perfect this evening and I'm just grilling some fish now, and enjoying a cold beer. I hope that you've been well and that you're having a great weekend too. :)

This Old Timer belonged to one of the best friends I ever had. It has been 47 years since he passed, but I still remember the good times with my Granddaddy!:)

I haven't carried this much-loved Old Friend in a while, but it always puts a smile on my face to slip my Needham NAAFI Knife, a thoughtful gift from my pal Duncan, in my pocket :)
