Old Friends Friday

Just got this out to check on it. My Dad's Marbles hunting knife bought back in 1952. Bakelite pommel. The blade got a little pitted and shabby over the years and I restored it 20 years ago. Tang stamp is almost gone but the knife is in fine working order now and really really sharp. I've dressed out many a deer with this and haven't need to sharpen it.

Stainless/Colonial/Prov usa. The knife my dad let me carry before I had one of my own.

I guess I'll scrub that comb. Not that I really need it these days.

Nice that you have that one Jer :)

That's really cool Bill, great-looking knife

I bought this knife in 1979, when I was 17 or 18, and we have had a lot of adventures together. It was made by a jobbing Sheffield cutler called Stuart Mitchell, who died many years ago sadly. Carrying it with me today for Old Friends Friday
