Old Friends Friday

Already a long lost old friend, though I bought it only two weeks ago.

I just found it under my chair when I dropped something else.
I just noticed the scratching on the blade-plating. BS? 85? 86? Possibly one of those random scratches that only almost look like lettering.

[Sorry, I guess I needed more coffee. It can't beFriday when it's Tuesday, can it?]

It's Friday on Mars.

People of Earth, Happy Friday.
I went looking for this fancy pantsy Camillus, so old a friend that I don't remember where I got it.

Couple of nice Old Friends Jer, interesting too, I like that liner detail

Being a great travel companion for many years a certain Huntsman has become a dear old friend.
Here he is relaxing in a bright meadow of summer's tall grass just a few days ago.
Oh if he could only talk... such pleasant memories he would share.

I can still remember when I got this Case. It was about this same time of the year. It was extremely hot and humid. I hadn’t been working for Hardwick Stove Company but three months or so. I worked in receiving and one of our hottest jobs was unloading purchased parts from trailers and sometimes even boxcars! The knife I had before I got my Case was a Western Stockman. I don’t remember the model, but it was a great knife. The problem was I would get soaking wet with sweat just about everyday at work. I could not keep the rust from forming on my Western. My friend and coworker had one of the Case 6347 Stainless knives. His was a USA model so it was already several years old at that time. I couldn’t get over how great it always looked. The problem I had was finding a stainless 6347. They were scarce as hens teeth! I got a call one evening after work from my local True Value Hardware store saying that they had some in stock. I couldn’t wait to get to the store. When I got there they had already sold one. They only had two left. The one I’m carrying was a ‘72 and the other was a ‘73. I bought them both! That’s only been 47 years ago. 1973 ....... seems like it was yesterday! ;) :D

Great story and fantastic knife.:thumbsup:

I ended up carrying a second Old Friend today, when I had some bindweed to attack. It's not often I carry a Pruner, but when I do I carry this old Carl Kammerling. I think I've had it about 10 years, but I couldn't actually find a pic :D Sharp as a razor :) r8shell r8shell has its twin

I do, thanks! :) It's very handy for light pruning and opening packages, too.
