"Old Knives"

Pre-WWII Camillus

Nice old Empire Jumbo Jack, a hair under 4" long with Ebony handles!! Heavy gauge Spring and main, about 2 1/2 times the pen!! Perspective is poor in this pic (it "foreshortens" the appearance of the main); the main is quite large and full, with great walk and talk!! Ulster made a lot of the Jumbos for several Cutlery Cos, but this is Empire made!!Jumbo 1.jpgJumbo 2.jpgJumbo 3.jpg

Ulster-made (most) Jumbos, with a regular sized jack E. Weck (Schrade Cut), for comparison!!View attachment 1851040View attachment 1851038View attachment 1851035
OMG… those are some awesome knives. I had no idea there were back springs that thick on a slipjoint. The scales look extra beefy too. Thanks for sharing the great pictures waynorth waynorth
Nice older Jacks Travman and Fishin 1635! 😊👍 Wonderful condition the both of them.

Wow Charlie - impressive line up of big old Jumbos! Each one is outstanding! 😮
thank you campbell

That nice Jordan is quite a handful, Ralph!!
Thanks Charlie!… Previous owner must have thought it was handful too… 🤣 it appears to have been used to peen some nails or something on the show side but the extra thick covers sure are nice to fondle with and the peen marks just give it more character.

These 4 blade High Carbon Stay-Sharp’s are a handful too. I fell off my chair when I ran across the minty-one on the left. I truly lucked-out running across it and really appreciate Campbellclanman Campbellclanman for sharing the history behind the High Carbon SFO’s made by Camillus for Sears. And thank you tongueriver tongueriver for selling me the pocket-worn loved Sta-sharp. 👍
