"Old Knives"

Have not found many nice Empires over the years but did land a nice one the other day. 3 5/8" largish jack, pretty full blades, pattern number with the letter S on pile side tang. Etched R S Patrick Duluth Minn, from what little I can find R S Patrick was a mining equipment company and had a patent for diamond drill bits.

Tom sent me an Empire catalog pic. The "S" stands for bone stag!! He used some weird program, and I can't copy his pics!!

Happy 4th of July holiday weekend fellow collectors!

Here is a SCC stag handled stockman just shy of 4 inches. Some of you may remember I posted photos of three
stag handled salesman sample SCC folders from the Schrade factory display board. That was about nine months back.
I was thrilled to find those three examples.

I wondered if I would ever see another one with the same kind of thin cut stag. Well, as luck would have it I did and I
scrambled to get it! It came out of an old collection but not the same old collection as the first three, Although not a
salesman sample, as are the first three, it is in excellent unsharpened unused condition. I have posted a photo(s) of it
along with the first three. Thanks for looking

Augie, what a wonderful addition to your ever growing amazing collection!

Nice work in solving the riddle of the stamping Charlie!

Thank you Charlie, appreciate the info, I was looking through a long thread on Empires and I did not see many with pattern number stamps.

Dreams come true!! Real nice, and Rare, Stags, Lloyd!!

Incredible stockman, Lloyd, one of the most desirable knives I've ever seen, at least to me. Grail of grails.

Thank you Charlie, appreciate the info, I was looking through a long thread on Empires and I did not see many with pattern number stamps.
In the several Empires I have had, very few had pattern numbers!!
