"Old Knives"

Visited my daughter this weekend and went to the community garage sale/antique store event in Niles, CA. For those not familiar with Niles, it is where the early silent movies were made, before movie production moved south to Hollywood. At the garage sale I found this Graef & Schmidt, most likely from a set of steak knives. I liked the stag, and for $15 it wasn't going to break the bank.

In one of the antique stores I spotted this old 2 1/2" swell center in the back of the case. The tang stamps are small and hard to read, but I could see the IXL and decided that $12 wasn't too much for an old IXL with ivory scales.

Great finds! That penknife, especially. 👍

This Remington arrived today, very clean knife, faint etch on main. No edge whatsoever on either blade so assumed it came that way from the factory. Just a solid knife with no play and the blades are centered nicely in the well. I have an Remington advertising knife for Edicott shoes that's the same frame but sports a caplifter blade vs the pen on this one. It's a quick picture but there are no issues with this knife at all. Great walk and talk and perfect bone covers :) Circa 1924-1933 Tang Stamp. The advertising Remington has an EO notch and bail also.

Here are two Robeson PocketEze pen knives with that most notable feature of sunken joints. The
top one is 3 & 1/4 inches and the bottom one is 3 inches. The top one includes a manicure blade.

The top one I have had for years and the smaller one just landed. It was a gift from my good
friend and fellow collector Mike L. (galvanic1882)—thanks Mike much appreciated!!

Love those Lloyd, also how the inset of the shield is red, I've always liked that :)
