"Old Knives"

Great knife, and it's always cool to compare with the old catalog prints.
I've had this Miller Brothers for a while now but never got around to taking pictures until today. Other than a few marks on the spey blade its pretty minty with sharp blades and fleam. The fleam sticks out a bit on the end for opening, I think. I've been keeping an eye out for any abscesses on the cats so I could try out the fleam but no luck so far...

Amazing. Hopefully the cat can outrun you, weighed down by that big heavy knife!

Beautiful knife Mike, I would think pretty early in Miller Bros history due to the fleam blade. I caution you on trying to use it on your cat, they generally don't take well to medical treatment as history shows.

All of those remind me of my late Maine Coon Jackson, who acted exactly like your pics illustrate. Elijah J. is just the opposite. 🤣 😍

Also this one too!
There are SO MANY stunning Knives in this thread that - with the progress get left behind in the hundreds of pages, that's why I think its always great to see reposts of beautiful Old Knives!

Visited my daughter this weekend and went to the community garage sale/antique store event in Niles, CA. For those not familiar with Niles, it is where the early silent movies were made, before movie production moved south to Hollywood. At the garage sale I found this Graef & Schmidt, most likely from a set of steak knives. I liked the stag, and for $15 it wasn't going to break the bank.

In one of the antique stores I spotted this old 2 1/2" swell center in the back of the case. The tang stamps are small and hard to read, but I could see the IXL and decided that $12 wasn't too much for an old IXL with ivory scales.

I was at my parents’ house yesterday evening and managed to sneak a couple of quick snaps of my grandfather’s Remington:

He died when I was 5 years old, and I only have vague memories of him.

Excuse the hasty, poor quality pictures. The background is the headrest of a leather chair where my dad reads while the cat sleeps behind his head (hence the scratches).
