"Old Knives"

Well a lot of beautiful and interesting knives and conversations since I was last here.
My favorite post was Cal's about the 79 year old lady burned by McDonalds coffee.

As Paul Harvey would say that's the rest of the story.

I should add a knife that's coming in the mail.
Only live one of these I've ever seen. Humason and Beckley.

Lyle, what a beauty you picked up there!

I am a watch nerd and one of the things I like to collect are watches with Pittsburgh jewelers on them or "private labels" as we call them. I started keeping an eye out a while ago for Pittsburgh knives and there was the usual letter openers and zippo lock backs but this Kent was too cool to pass up. Kent being a "private label" for Woolworths and a souvenir from the burgh.

It's a cool little camillus. Pictures with a recent find, an Elgin movement with a pgh jeweler.
