Not sure if I posted these before, WayNorth found them for me.

Thanks for showing them, Jim. I'd forgotten what little beauties they are. I can't believe the detail squeezed into those Peanuts!! Nice, nice, nice!!

I am a lurking person who has not learned how to post pics. I can email iPhone pics, but that is it.

I Truly appreciate all of your pics in this thread. It is like having a knife museum in my home town.

My sincere thanks to all of Waynorth's many friends and to the mods.

This thread is a true joy.

I added a long list including Baker, Brad, .Roland, Rob Thomasson, Vince, Dwight, Mike Berkowitz, Cambelclan, hawk, cnas and many others, but the machine ate it.

Mike H.

My Sincere thanks to all posters and to Elliott & Gus.

[qoute Mike H.]you will never know how much joy you bring to us silent guys. [end quote]

I remember longing for people to talk knives with, before I found this forum. It brings me a lot of enjoyment, and like so many others here, I try to give some back. So a word to the silent guys: Speak Up!!

My ultimate thanks go to the keepers of the gates: Elliott and Gus! Without their civilizing influence, we would be awash in Trolls and Spam, like so many other (some now dead) forums!
To those who resent these gents looking over our shoulders, wake up and smell the coffee!
They shovel the sidewalks and keep the path clear!!

I too just love this Forum, and all the knowledge abound.
I Love to see all the Old treasures you guys have.

Though this is not my knife,I sure wish it were.
I was not quite quick enough to the buy it now of $Cheap
with free shipping.
Had I been,I would just be dreaming of how I would gently
clean it up when it arrived.
it looks like it has never even been sharpened..

Hi Reader1, I used to lurk on forums, not sure whether I have to contribute something to all these knowledgeable experienced members who post a lot, but at sometime I started to post and revealed it is so much more fun then just lurking. So it's up to you. If you want to email me photos of your old and vintage traditionals, you are more than welcome - michaelb04 at gmail.com. And thanks to the mods and all the members on the forum who make this place so nice.
Mike

Yeah, I'm only semi-silent, but I truly enjoy threads such as this and others here on Blade Forum.

I agree with you my friend, this place is pretty darned special alright, I also agree totally with what Charlie said about mods too, I think the mods do such hard work, and they are pretty decent guys as well, and the times I write them is always good.
I at times are quite embarrassed about my lack of knowledge, and everybody here has been really supportive and go out of their way to help me with my sometimes stupid questions.
But its a place I dont mind asking, because these guys here are always willing to offer help, and I just dont mind being where I am in this world of knives.
Mike .....thank you for your kind words, its always great to visit, and I only wish that I wasnt so far away from being able to meet some of these great people here, and they include many you put in your list, thanks for your great post , I do see you out there buying a few knives, and from memory you have good taste Sir, so please jump in as we all love seeing photos of knives.

I don't get to post here often because I don't have that many Old Knives
so to speak.
This one here will probably be my first that truely deserves a place in this thread.
I don't know for sure it's age,but sure someone can chime in about that.

I hope you guys find it worthy of this thread,
JD

SCHRADE NYCo.jpg

Small scale sheepfoot Jacks were often considered Florists' knives. Handy for trimming posies, the straight edge was a good functional choice, with the added benefit of being easier to sharpen than a curved or hawkbill blade.
These were both made by Schrade, one a contract knife for A.Field & Co.
Probably made in the late 1930s, before WWII.
These are near clones of each other. The snap is even thunderously identical, amazing for little 3 3/8" knives. Class A handle materials; Rosewood or Peachseed, your choice!!

Man, Those are awesome, I'm loving the rosewood! Ive been scanning Case to see if they have any wharnie blades but these seem like they would do just as well.
